Sony Ericsson's first gaming-oriented mobile phone, the F305, will be offered to customers together with no less than 61 games.
Officially announced by Sony Ericsson in mid-June (at the same time with the 8 Megapixel C905), the F305 was initially said to come with only three embedded 3D games: Bowling, Bass fishing and Jockey (according to the press release issued by SE on June 17).
Now, on the
official website of F305, the Swedish-Japanese company says that 11 games are pre-installed in the handset's internal memory, while the 512MB memory card that comes in its package will feature other 50 titles.
The 11 embedded games include the three initially-presented ones, plus: The Sims 2, Johnny Crash Stuntman Does Texas, Racing Fever GT, Asteroids, Tropical Madness, Lumines, Quadrapop Robotics and Jewel Quest 2. The 50 games bundled on the 512MB card include Extreme Pinball, 3D Night Fever and IQ Booster.
Targeted at young mobile users, the F350 features motion sensor technology, which comes to offer a new twist on mobile gaming. Moreover, the handset brings the following: a 2 inch TFT display with 256K colors and 176 x 220 pixels, dedicated gaming buttons, horizontal gameplay mode, stereo speakers for a loud and clear sound, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, Music player, FM radio with RDS, a 2 Megapixel camera, email and Instant Messaging, handsfree and so on. Weighing 98 grams and measuring 96 x 47 x 14.6 millimeters (when not slid), the phone packs a battery that can provide up to 8 hours of gameplay, up to 8 hours of talk-time or up to 400 hours of stand-by time.
Sony Ericsson said the F350 should be available "in the third quarter of 2008," hence it's highly probable that it hits the market this month (September). Its retail price is not known yet, but it should be a decent one – hopefully less than 200 Euros (290 USD).
