With unique pulsating night effects

Sony Ericsson Equinox is the latest handset from the Japanese-Swedish joint-venture Sony Ericsson to have reached T-Mobile's offering, as it has just been announced to come to the carrier. The stylish, chic phone brings appealing features, its maker states, and sports unique pulsating night effects that alert users whenever they receive a call or text message.

The new Equinox mobile phone does not come only with enhanced design features, but also includes 3G connectivity options, a built-in GPS receiver, a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper, an integrated FM radio, Stereo Bluetooth wireless technology, as well as a great array of multimedia features, such as an integrated application that offers users the possibility to easily shoot videos and then upload them to YouTube.

In addition, the phone sports eye-catching night effects, enabling its owner to set unique pulsating light effects to five favorite people, so that one would know who is calling. The custom light features included with the Sony Ericsson Equinox come in Amber, Sapphire, Beryl, Diamond, and Amethyst, the handset vendor announced. In addition, the device also sports a wide range of wallpapers that can be coordinated to one's outfit.

Other features of the new device include gesture control so that calls can be rejected or alarms silenced with a single wave of the hand. The handset also sports a 2.2-inch QVGA display that supports up to 262K colors and a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels, measures 93 x 50 x 14.1 mm and weighs 95 grams. It will be available in Carbon, and with support for GSM/ EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and HSDPA 2100/1700 networks.

“The Sony Ericsson Equinox phone echoes Sony Ericsson's tradition of style, personalization and multimedia,” said Karen Morris, vice president of marketing, Sony Ericsson. “With a host of dynamic features that put the power of personality in your hands, it's a stunning 3G phone that reflects the mood of each individual user.” Sony Ericsson and T-Mobile also announced that the new mobile phone would be available for purchase starting with October 28 at select T-Mobile retail stores and online on the carrier's website.
