According to some graphs on Flickr, the popular photo sharing website, Sony-Ericsson phones win the battle for most popular camera phones, overruling
Nokia .
While Nokia occupies the 3rd and 4th positions in the top 5 at the moment with the new Nokia N73 and not so new Nokia N70, the rest of the spots
are occupied by
Sony-Ericsson 's K750i in the lead, K800i on second place and W800i on the 5th position.
In fact, if Sony were to have the same success in producing digital cameras as they are having with their built-in camera mobile phones, they would be doing really great. As K750i and N70 are rather older models, it is already obvious in the graphs that they are losing popularity, while 'handing over' their spots to their upgraded versions, K800i and N73.
And since Nokia N95, with its built-in 5 megapixel camera is coming soon, Sony-Ericsson would better come up with something just as good or risk to lose the crown to Nokia. However, the graphs presented on Flickr are not entirely objective, as some cameraphones aren't even detected.
"The graphs are only accurate to the extent that we can automatically detect the camera used to take the photo (about 2/3rds of the time). That is not usually possible with cameraphone photos and cameraphones are therefore under-represented. "
