Sony Ericsson Adds Cedar to Its GreenHeart Offering

Sony Ericsson Cedar is the latest mobile phone the handset vendor added to its GreenHeart offering. The new device is set to arrive on the market as a great option for consumers looking for an affordable handset, while being capable of delivering 3G HSDPA connectivity, fast browsing and easy access to e-mail and social networking sites.

The new Sony Ericsson Cedar brings forth the Widget Manager 2.0, an application that provides fast access to social networking via the stand-by screen. Moreover, it includes the human curvature design present on other Sony Ericsson devices, as well as a range of green credentials, including recycled plastics, a low power consumption charger, an e-manual, and more. Push mail, Bluetooth connectivity and HSDPA are also present on the device, making it fit for business usage too, the company notes.

The specifications list of Sony Ericsson Cedar includes support for UMTS HSDPA 2100 and GSM GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 networks, a 2.2 inch display, a 2-megapixel camera with video recording, Access Netfront 3.5 browser, Exchange ActiveSync, FM radio, 3.5 mm audio jack, USB mass storage, and a battery that can offer up to 12 hours 30 min of talk time on GSM, or up to 420 hours of standby time on GSM. The handset measures 111 x 49 x 15.5 mm and weighs in at 84 grams.
