Another new phone that Sony Ericsson has made available for Vodafone customers is the GPS-enabled W715 Walkman. The new device supports Vodafone Find&Go, and provides turn-by-turn pedestrian or driving navigation, also supplying users with simple ways to find restaurants, hotels, or shopping centers, through only a few clicks on their new mobile phone.

The new W715 Walkman device includes the same quality of the sound delivered by the W980 Walkman phone, considered to offer the ”best audio experience” in independent tests.

The product comes with Walkman features including the music recognition application TrackID, SensMe for matching the music with your mood, as well as Shake Control, which allow for tracks to be changed with the flick of a wrist. The handset is aiming at enabling a premium audio experience, as it also offers access to music downloads with the fully-integrated Vodafone Music.

“The W715 is another exciting exclusive for Vodafone customers. The seamless integration with Vodafone’s Music services, such as single or full album download, provides for a great overall experience on our fast and reliable network. With fully integrated GPS and Vodafone Find&Go, this phone is offering a very attractive feature set in a combination we know customers are asking for more and more,” Patrick Chomet, global director of Terminals at Vodafone, said.

“We are continuing to progress the music capability on our phones,” Peter Marsden, head of GCU Vodafone at Sony Ericsson, added, “and the W715 Walkman phone is a great way to support Vodafone Music, plus its dedicated key to location-based services simply highlights its ease of use – all making for a great user experience.”

The music features are not the only ones the handset comes with. It also sports a metal finish and a 2.4-inch large screen, which comes along with an elegant and compact slider giving it a professional feel. A 3.2 megapixel camera and WiFi connectivity are also present with the device. Moreover, the W715 Walkman boasts FM radio with TrackID, a Stereo Bluetooth Headset HBH-DS205, USB support, and a memory card slot for up to 4GB external storage.
