Called a ”purity product”

The future seems to be approaching quite fast, at least in what mobile phones are concerned. The latest handset from Sony Ericsson that leaked into the wild is one device that seems to be set to prove that this is true. The upcoming mobile phone from the Japanese-Swedish manufacturer, which is supposedly called Kiki, as anyone can easily see from the image attached to this article, sports a rather futuristic design and is both interesting and rather attractive from a certain point of view.

This is the first time we are able to see a phone shaped like this coming from the joint venture. Not only that the structure of the handset's exterior is unusual, but one can also see that there are only a few keys present on the device. According to mobil.nu, the phone is called a ”purity product,” yet we are rather uncertain what that means. If we were to make a wild guess, we could easily assume that this is another eco-friendly Sony Ericsson device, but no specific details on this are available.

On the other hand, the oddity of the phone seems to be extending to some of the functionality it comes with as well. According to the aforementioned website, the display of Kiki is made out of glass, while the image on it is rear-projected. Given this state of facts, the images seem to feature a certain depth that is otherwise unmet on other handsets. Although attractive in a way, it would be great if more details on this were available.

The features and capabilities of this device are not known either. Even so, given its looks and the lack of keys, the Sony Ericsson Kiki might come to the market as a feature phone, and possibly a low-end to mid-range one. Given the interesting design it sports, the handset might attract users on its side, though we should still wait for more information on it to surface before making any consistent statements. Stay tuned to learn more details on it as they become available.
