Needless to say, it’s not always that federal institutions are seen in a bad light, and this is all the more true when it comes to the FCC. This is because its website usually provides all the information about the phones that are available on the US market. There is, however, yet another thing we have to thank the FCC for, in that whenever a phone goes to the FCC for testing, or passes it, this means only one thing, and that’s that it won’t be long until it is made available in the US.

This is also the case with Sony Ericsson's C905. The phone was spotted on the FCC's website, so for all those eager American users, this can only mean good news as a release date is imminent. The version currently in tests is the American one, the C905a.

Given that the phone will go on sale all across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, besides the US, more versions of it will be made available, with each designed to fit the profile of the networks in a respective region. Thus, apparently, the phone has three versions, the C905a being for the US, the C905c for China, while the rest of the world will seemingly have to make do with the C905. Despite these three versions, we’re still dealing with the same phone, the only thing that is likely to change about it being the band frequencies, which, as already noted, would be necessary in order to fit each region’s network profile.

Sony Ericsson C905 comes with a 8MP camera with auto focus, xenon flash, geotagging, smart contrast, image stabilizer, face detection and video recording. Admittedly, these are some pretty cool features for a phone, even if may not be the only one that is sporting them.

Along with the camera, Sony Ericsson C905 also brings quad-band GSM connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz), HSDPA, WiFi, built-in GPS, A-GPS, a 2.4-inch TFT display with 240 x 320 pixels, accelerometer, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, FM radio with RDS, Music and Video players, TV out, 160MB of internal memory and a 2GB M2 card, replaceable with an 8GB one.
