Sony Confirms Little Big Planet Karting Is in Development

Video game publisher and hardware maker Sony has confirmed that it is currently working on a new Little Big Planet spin-off called Karting after a retailer in the United States revealed that the title was being in development.

Future Shop first showed the game log and the silhouette of the well-known Sackboy figurine.

The Twitter account of the United States based PlayStation blog offered the following message ”We can confirm that LittleBigPlanet Karting is in fact in development and we look forward to sharing more on the game soon!”

Sony has not said who is handling the development duties for the game or which platforms it might launch on.

It is probably much too early to talk about possible launch dates for the karting Little Big Planet spin-off.

Media Molecule has recently said that they are investing heavily in Research & Development, which probably means that they are looking to move away from the franchise and tackle a new genre.
