Has some really impressive specs despite its small size

Whoever said that high resolutions are only for large screens certainly wasn't heard by Sony since the Japanese company has just unveiled an 0.7-inch OLED display that has a native 720p resolution.

Sony plans to use this display in its next-generation mirrorless cameras as these have have to rely on electronic viewfinders instead of the optical viewfinders found inside regular DSLRs.

According to OLED-info, which has uncovered this tiny display, this is capable of reproducing 87% of the NSTC color gamut and has a 0.01ms response time and 200 cd/m2 brightness and is an improved version of the half-inch XGA ECX331A display used in the NEX line of cameras.

Right now, we don't know when Sony will introduce the first camera to make use of this display or what that model will be called, but we are really impressed with this engineering feat.

Now, if anyone could tell notebook makers that 14-inch and larger displays with a 1366x768 resolution just aren't OK, then I would really be impressed.
