Since no smart TV can be complete without social media integration, Sony has now rolled out a new update for its Internet connected Bravia HDTV that brings a series of new features to the party.

At the top of the list stands the new found support for Facebook and Twitter that brings Facebook galleries, messages, status updates and links to the Bravia TV sets, all while a new Twitter ticker scrolls updates across the bottom of the screen.

YouTube HD support is another feature that was expected by many, and Sony has now delivered this option to its users.

Finally, the company has also made available a version of the Remote Keyboard Lite app for non-Sony laptops, which allows them to browse the Web, search for streaming content and navigate the menus remotely.

The update will arrive automatically to all those of you running compatible Bravia HDTVs if an Internet connection is present.
