Sony has issued a statement about the lack of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive during this week’s European PS Store update, saying that it’s investigating the problem and will solve it soon.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive was supposed to appear yesterday in Europe for the PlayStation 3 via the PlayStation Store, after having already arrived on platforms like the PC or the Xbox 360 worldwide, and on the North American PS Store.

Sadly, that didn’t happen, as eager PS3 owners in Europe found that the weekly Store update didn’t include Global Offensive.

Sony has issued a statement to CVG, confirming that it hopes to “resolve this issue as quickly as possible.”

Sadly, the company didn’t actually reveal why the delay happened and when Counter-Strike fans will be able to download the multiplayer-only shooter.

Expect to hear more about the game and its release on the European PS Store soon.
