Sony Japan announced that its new Vaio Type C VGN-CS60B laptop would become available on September 13th. The new mobile PC will have a 14.1 inch LCD display featuring a 1280x800 resolution in WXGA and LE liquid crystal clear black, as well as an entire series of colors, including Dove White, Cosmopolitan Pink, Sangria Red, Black, Crocodile Brown, along with a multi-colored light bar on the front which uses Rolly's trademarked “12 Tone Analysis”. The powerful colors available with the new model are complemented by a series of blinking LEDs placed above the keyboard which are able to make adjusting the volume level more interesting than we were used to.

The fancy look is not all about the new VGN-CS60B laptop. It also includes a 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor, 2GB of RAM (1x2GB), a 160GB hard disc drive for storage, and an Intel GMA 4500MHD graphic accelerator. Beside this features, we can also count a range of connectivity options including an 802.11n WiFi port, a FeliCa port, Bluetooth port, as well as a Web camera, DVD Super-multi Drive and Office Personal 2007, all in the use of the Windows Vista Home Premium Operating System that comes with the device.

The price of the new laptop goes up to $1400. Although its specs do not sound too great, the inclusion of Rolly adds up the $400 to the price tag. This little piece of electronics may seem useless to some, yet prove a fancy thing to others, especially to gadget enthusiasts in Japan. Sony's new VGN-CS60B is able to make a room look like a discotheque through the multi-colored light bar on the front, the volume LEDs and Rolly's trademarked “12 Tone Analysis”.
