Since Japanese company Sony doesn't really seem to be willing to settle with launching a single product at a time, they've decided to release yet another pair of headphones (beside the wireless ones we've already talked about earlier today), namely the MDR-NC13.

So, what we're talking about here is a noise-canceling portable audio solution that's designed to work with most media players and smartphones available out there and to let users enjoy just their favorite audio, with a very low level of interference from background noise.

And since we've reached this particular topic, it's also interesting to mention that Sony's touting an overall noise-canceling level of around 87.4 percent (roughly 9 dB), which should be quite enough on order to allow users to enjoy an immersive audio experience, while in the same time still being able to keep their grip on the real world.

The MDR-NC13 earphones pack 13.5 mm, dome type (CCAW adopted) driver units, capable of handling 50 mW of audio power and delivering a 10-22,000 Hz frequency response.

Moreover, they sport a closed-type, vertical in-ear design, and they're accompanied by a 1.5 m OFC Litz cord and a neckchain, as well as multiple ear plug adapters, allowing users to opt for the particular version that delivers the best possible level of comfort.

We'll also have to mention that wearing these earphones shouldn't prove to be too much of a burden, given the fact that the headphones weigh around 7 grams (not including cord), while the battery box (containing one AAA battery and the noise-canceling hardware) is not particularly heavy, either, since it only weighs around 19 grams.

Sadly, much in the case of the previously mentioned wireless headphones, Sony's not provided pricing details for its MDR-NC13 headphones, only informing us that they're set to officially go on sale across Europe from April 2011.
