Sony has confirmed a few things about a possible adaptation of Gran Turismo 6 for the PlayStation Vita handheld platform, confirming that a direct port is out of the question, due to power issues, but that special plans will be revealed in the future.

Gran Turismo 6 is one of the biggest PlayStation 3-exclusive games set to appear this year, and both publisher Sony and developer Polyphony Digital have teased the possibility of seeing it on other platforms, like the PlayStation 4.

While talking with IGN, Sony's Shuhei Yoshida confirmed that Gran Turismo 6 was only coming for the PS3 and that there were no clear plans about bringing it to the PS Vita due to the console's limited power.

"I don't expect the whole game to be able to run on PS Vita. So there's no clear plans right now that we can talk about," concluded Yoshida about the possibility of getting GT6 onto the Vita.

Gran Turismo spawned a mobile installment a few years ago when it appeared for the PlayStation Portable.
