While back in January Sony revealed the A5000 mirrorless camera, which as of now is the smallest camera in its class and the first to drop the NEX moniker, the PlayStation maker will be announcing the NEX-6/7 successor in a couple of days, right before the start of the CP+ 2014 show.

A few details about the A6000's specs have already been leaked, but SonyAlphaRumors has received from a few trusted sources new information regarding the upcoming Sony mirrorless model.

Sony A6000 will feature a 24.3MP Exmor-R sensor with an improved RGB filter as well as a Bionz X processor that will provide increased sharpness, noise, and diffraction reduction. In addition to that, the camera will also come with the fastest hybrid AF of all E-mount cameras that will use contrast and phase detection to quickly and accurately focus on your subject.

The new model will have a low-light sensitivity of up to ISO 25,600 and similar controls on its back as well as a built-in EVF just like the NEX-6. An anonymous source also stated that the EVF would pack the same quality as the current A7/A7R viewfinder.
