Slick and lightweight

Need a lighter notebook to follow you wherever you may roam? Sony is now able to meet this requirement with its new VAIO G11-Series notebooks. The new lineup is specifically created for business travelers who need a notebook that solves problems rather than creating them. The slick design is bound to transform these notebooks into business tools that never become a worry, a liability or a distraction.

The G11 weighs just 1.12kg including the battery, which received more attention from Sony's engineers. Thus, the rechargeable power supply got resized to minute proportions: it's shorter than a pen, and weighs only 170g. In this respect, Sony used advanced carbon fiber laminate materials to shave off the additional grams without compromising casing and lid durability.

"The VAIO G11-Series is the result of concerted efforts to identify what makes the difference between acceptable and excellent," says Jun Koyama, Marketing Director, VAIO Of Europe (VOE). "We did not want to offer business customers an acceptable notebook. We wanted to offer them an excellent one, properly crafted to meet their needs, and that is what we have done."
