Developer's eyes are pointed towards the PS3

5 GamePro annalists have declared the PS3 a "total winner." They've also made a hierarchy of the next gen consoles placing Sony's on top, Nintendo's Wii on second place while the loser's place is occupied by the Xbox 360. Apparently, the reason for this sudden change in the next-gen consoles' hierarchy is the lack of good games provided by developers for the 360 as for the Wii, and the lack of new franchises investing in Nintendo's console appears as the cause of it being placed second.

360's Halo 3 and Gears of War are said to be no match for the PS3's blockbusters such as MGS4, Killzone 2, SOCOM 4, Gran Turisimo 5, Final Fantasy XIII or Ratchet & Clank which are just a few titles filling the console's upcoming list. But how on Earth did 5 annalists come to the conclusion that the PS3 will kick ass when the whole world is screaming "go home!" at Sony? For crying out loud, they didn't even give the console's controllers some rumbling.

All this being said, I think it is safe to say the truth is somewhere in the middle. Ever more publishers and developers seem to be turning their heads towards Sony's entertainment system. As for Sony, the future may not be so dark after all, if they are thinking of long term investments with their console. Keeping it long enough on the market and providing nothing but the best titles for it may just be the answer to all the frustration they've had to deal with. Surely they're also going to fix the controller's problem too, in time.
