Sony' - Quarter 2 Title List for the PS3, PS2 and PSP

How did I miss this yesterday? Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced their Q2 title list for the PS3, PSP and PS2 and I wasn't near a computer when it happened so I could let you know. Anyway, now that it's official, I have to say it was about time for crying out loud and I'm not talking about the PS2 or the PSP. No, it's the PS3 that desperately needs a dozen titles or so to get it moving.

OK, here's what Sony promises: more than 100 first- and third-party PS3, PSP and PS2 titles launching during the next few months of 2007, among which the most popular game genres, featuring industry leading franchises, as well as new intellectual properties appealing to game enthusiasts of any level, will be presented. Although, I'm not so sure that 8 games, among which Spider-Man 3 and TRANSFORMERS: The Game, will be enough to get the PS3 back on its feet.

Peter Dille, senior vice president of marketing SCEA stated: "Our second-quarter line-up of PS3, PSP and PlayStation 2 software titles demonstrates a continued commitment from both SCEA and third-party developers to the PlayStation family of products." Took you quite some time though...! "We are excited by the content being developed by our partners, but are also looking forward to launching PlayStation-branded exclusive games created by our own worldwide studios this quarter and throughout the rest of 2007."
