Sonic the Hedgehog Unlockables (PS3)

Sonic the Hedgehog is a platform game developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega and is the inaugural game in the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. It was first released on June 23, 1991 in North America for the Sega Genesis video game console. The European Sega Mega Drive version was released later in June 24, 1991 and the Japanese Sega Mega Drive version was released on July 26, 1991. This game was the first title to propel the Genesis into mass popularity in North America. After it was released, it eventually replaced Altered Beast as the bundled game with the console.

It featured many new elements which contributed to its popularity and helped to promote the uptake of 16 bit consoles. Sonic the Hedgehog added the element of speed to the standard platform formula and introduced other unique elements as well, such as the loops, springboards and high-speed devices. Sonic The Hedgehog was released on July 10th, 2007 for the Xbox 360 console on the Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) immediately following the Microsoft E3 2007 press conference for 400 Microsoft points.
