Video game publisher SEGA and retail giant Amazon are announcing that all those who are ready to pre-order the new Sonic Lost World from the chain will be able to get access to the special Deadly Six edition of the game and also to use 25 extra lives.

The two companies are only offering the deal in North America and supplies are said to be limited.

The Sonic Lost World offer is designed to appeal to those fans of the series who want to take big risks while playing and need the extra life as a safety cushion.

At the same time, newcomers might be attracted by the fact that they have more lives to use before they fail in the new title.

Sonic Lost World will see the character face six tough bosses that Dr. Eggman has tried to pit against him.

Launch will take place on the Nintendo-made Wii U and the 3DS on October 18 in Europe and 11 days later in North America.
