Video game publisher SEGA has announced that it is getting ready to launch a new demo for its upcoming Sonic Generations platformer, allowing players to see what the game has to offer ahead of the November launch.

This second demo for Generations will be set in the Green Hill level, one of the classics for the franchise, and will feature both Modern and Classic versions of Sonic.

It will be offered on both Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network on October 19.

The first demo has been available since late June and only allowed gamers to experience gameplay from the perspective of Classic Sonic.

SEGA is billing Sonic Generations as being the perfect way to say “Happy Bithday!” to the character after 20 years of delivering fun, getting the most important levels from its history and delivering them with updated graphics and gameplay.

The game will be launched on the PC, the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 and SEGA is also planning a version for the Nintendo 3DS.
