“Sonic CD” Now Available on Android and iOS Platforms

Although SEGA announced that “Sonic CD” won’t make it to Android and Windows Phone platforms until January 2012, it looks like the game is already available for download in the Android Market.

Fans of the old-school hit can take control of the blue hedgehog and travel at the speed of light to the distant shores of Never Lake. His enemy, Dr. Eggman plans to steal the Time Stones an control time itself, so it’s your job to prevent this from happening.

The game is far from being a rush port of the original game, and offers support for 16:9 widescreen, achievements, leaderboards, along with both U.S. and Japanese soundtracks.

“Sonic CD” for Android is now available for download via Android Market for only $1.99 and is fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
