Video game publisher SEGA has announced that it has entered into a partnership with GameStop which means that all those who pick up a Samsung Galaxy, Acer 100 or ASUS Transformer tablet will get a pre-installed copy of Sonic CD, well ahead of its normal launch date, complete with a Bluetooth gaming controller.

Haruki Satomi, a senior vice president at SEGA of America, stated, “After 20 years of working with Sonic the Hedgehog, you would think we have learned how quickly he moves, and how impatient he can get. We just could not wait to share the classic look and sound of Sonic CD’s cherished gameplay and characters. GameStop customers will get to be the first to see the efforts that have gone into restoring this title for a new digital generation, and we know they are going to enjoy the results.”

Sonic CD will also be launched on the Xbox Live, the PSN, the iPhone and Windows in December.
