Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric and Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal, the two coming titles in the long-running series from SEGA, are getting an unified trailer from the company, which is designed to show the mix of classic and new gameplay features that they will offer on launch.

The experiences are set to be offered on the Wii U home console and the 3DS handheld from Nintendo, and the teams working on them have explained that they will be an evolution for Sonic and his friends, with an enhanced set of combat sequences and CryEngine-powered graphics.

Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles Tails Prower, Knuckles the Echidna, Amy Rose and Sticks the Badger are all playable and players will have to use a variety of moves and special skills in order to stop Dr. Eggman once again from taking over a fantasy world.

The new EnerBeam weapon powers much of the combat and there are big end-level bosses that will require unique strategies to be defeated.

SEGA is also planning to deliver a special cartoon series based on the plot of Rise of Lyric and Shattered Crystal.

Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric and Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal will arrive on November 11 in the United States and on November 21 in Europe, and Japanese gamers will have to wait for them until the middle of December.
