Sonic 1 Included as Bonus in Sonic Generations

Sega has confirmed that buyers of the upcoming Sonic Generations title will also receive a bonus copy of the original Sonic the Hedgehog game that first featured the small yet speedy blue mascot of the company.

Sonic Generations is getting ready for its release next week, so Sega wants longtime Sonic fans to really get into the experience, which features some of the most iconic levels from early Sonic games as well as from more recent ones.

Now, to raise hype even more around the title, the Japanese company confirmed, via Destructoid, that a bonus copy of Sonic the Hedgehog, the first Sonic title from many years ago, will be an unlockable extra in Generations.

Sega didn't say just how this bonus item could be unlocked, so it's up to players to uncover it when Generations is released, for PS3 and Xbox 360 on November 1, for PC on November 3, and 3DS on November 24.
