The popular free music streaming service Songza will soon release a Windows 8 application that would allow users to access their playlists straight from the Metro interface.

The company confirmed for WMPowerUser that a Windows 8 tool is currently in the works, but no information has been provided on a potential release date or any features to be included in the project.

The Windows 8 app is very likely to include the essential Songza features, such as playlist support, voting options and personal music settings based on an account.

Just like some other similar services, such as Pandora or Jango, Songza can recommend songs based on your settings or using information from the previously configured playlist. Of course, it remains to be seen whether the Windows 8 will include all these features or rely on the very essential options.
