Android phone users interested in trying out a new media player on their devices have now at their disposal Songbird for Android 1.0, already made available for download via the Android Market. The new application arrives in the software portal following a period of beta testing, and offers a series of features that would most certainly appeal to all users out there.

Among them, we can count the possibility to easily browse through the music collection, not to mention that users would have playback controls accessible at all times.

The mobile application comes with a unique ‘now playing’ drawer through which users would be able to easily access album art and additional details.

Moreover, Android users would also enjoy Facebook and Flickr integrations, so that they could easily share favorite songs with their friends.

Moreover, the app would also enable them view dynamic artist images while they are listening to tracks. This feature was present in the mashTape add-on in Songbird, the company notes.
