The long-awaited moment for audio producers and enthusiasts has come: Cakewalk's Sonar 6 is ready for shipping! The hailed piece of code
comes in two flavors, Sonar Home Studio 6 and Sonar Home Studio 6 XL and all the efforts have been all directed towards the ease of use and easing the home studio owner's work.

Sonar 6 Home Studio has been developed in compliance with the new Windows Vista specifications and it promises a good integration in both Win XP and Vista. To prove the efforts of the Cakewalk development team were not in vain, Sonar 6 Home Studio/XL will work on 32-bit versions of the OS as well as on the 64-bit ones, without any detected trouble whatsoever.

The Vista UAC (User Account Control) is perfectly supported in this new version of Sonar Home Studio and because of this new spec, the program will run on a Vista PC on different accounts with ease. Cakewalk's new software offers WaveRT driver support for enhanced CPU performance at low latency playback settings and this means a better overall performance from your machine and a smoother workflow in all your enterprises.

And since lately, more and more of people's work is online or at least is showcased online at least once, the new Sonar Home Studio sports a truly handy feature: the Cakewalk Publisher. This means you will have an easier time sending your creations on the web as well as making them publicly available by means of a user-administered web-player streaming your music. And to make things even easier, users can upload music files to their (band's) websites or to myspace-type sites directly from Sonar Home Studio; it can't get any easier when it comes to quickly sharing your new creation with either friends or critics or even the whole world.

Finally, regarding the Sonar 4 owners: Cakewalk is more than willing to have you using the 6th version of the program so they offer an upgrade fro 4 to 6 Home Studio for just $60 without any intermediaries and obtainable directly from the company's website. As for the new customers, the price for the Sonar 6 Home Studio (multi-language edition) is about $170 in Europe.

Go get it as we're looking forward to hear your new music!
