Kelly Osbourne must be one of the most annoying people in this world - nothing and no one seems to make her want to shut her mouth and keep her opinions to herself. I know that might sound pretty harsh, but it's true - Kelly is a rich girl, lucky enough to have been born in a rich family and have a famous mommy and daddy to look after her and make her feel like a little princess who owns the world and can do and say anything she pleases. And Kelly, it would seem, learned the "I can say stupid things very easily" lesson quite fast. She's also a fast learner when it comes to other special values of the celebrity world, such as hypocrisy and backstabbing. And surprise - she seems to be a natural talent. Who would have imagined that!
Kelly is supposedly best friends with Paris Hilton and is convinced, poor thing, that it's perfectly OK to brag about how the soon-to-be-ex-heiress was the first person in this whole wide world to give little Kelly alcohol poisoning. Yes, that's definitely something to be proud of, I think - not to mention an excellent example for younger girls who are looking for role models among the young celebrity crowd. But fortunately (or unfortunately, however you chose to call it) not even Miss Osbourne's love for the witless American socialite can surpass her natural-born superiority complex, which seems to have been genetically transmitted from her dear mother.
"I think for a lot of famous people press attention is an addiction. Those girls - Britney, Lindsay (Lohan), Paris and so on - are competing for the attention. It's like, 'Who's going to get arrested next, get pregnant, go out without knickers and get on this week's cover of Us Weekly?'" she states in an interview with San Francisco Gate. "It's like a contest of self-loathing and I just don't understand it. How has this turned into the fashionable thing to do? I would be absolutely mortified if I got arrested - I would be terrified of phoning my parents and telling them, and it would completely change me for the rest of my life", she added.
I can't help wondering, though, if Kelly was brave enough to share her views on Paris with Paris herself in a face to face talk. Or maybe she did but they were both so intoxicated it didn't really register. Well, talk about backstabbing - aren't you proud to see the little Osbourne princess all grown up and ready to start throwing dirt by herself?
