I used to have a very good opinion about Kelly Rowland. I mean, in musical terms I still do - and in all other respects except her fashion sense. OK, let's not be mean and generalize. I'm talking about one specific moment in which I realized Kelly's personal stylist really hates her - or else has a very weird sense of fashion, which contradicts the very idea of a stylist.
The fact is, I don't think anyone in their right mind would go out on stage wearing this outfit, for the simple reason that there's no point to it. Kelly looks very good, and I'm sure there are a million things to wear out there that would have complimented her body and made much more of a point than the peacock-feathered monstrosity that she's wearing. But hey, on the bright side at least we can check out her buttocks - and just so that I'm not entirely mean to Kelly, the corset does make her legs look longer and more slender.

But still, peacock feathers? I mean, there are so many cool corsets out there, why did she have to go for the most ridiculous one? And what's that I see wrapped around her crotch? Come on, Kelly, you can do so much better than this - I know you can. I know it's quite fashionable for stars to leave home without putting on the bottom part of their outfits - and yes, LiLo and Brit Brit make it look oh so glamorous (joke) but it's in fact a bad idea to go for the "sexy with no pants on" look. I think that most of you will agree with the fact that it's not always enticing to see it all put on display - sometimes, a little bit of covering up your assets will do wonders.
Remember when Rihanna ventured in pretty much the same direction and stepped on stage wearing what looked like a corset made for the pure pleasure of her sado-masochist fans? Well, that was even more over the top than Kelly's attire, but still, I can relate with that desire to shock and stand out. The fact is, however, that Kelly is usually a more down-to-earth person, and her own personal style is not complimented by her choice of clothes. Put on pants, show less a*s and everything should be just fine. How about it?
