The Minecraft renditions of Manhattan and Denmark are more impressive though

While you can't play Destiny on PC, you can always count on someone recreating it in Minecraft. It has already happened, by the way, with a world building aficionado uploading the videos showing the Destiny Tower even before the game was available yesterday.

Destiny might be the hottest thing right now, but it has a long way to go before it can boast the same level of popularity that a certain blocky and pixelated video game has. Combining the love for both Mojang's world-building game and for Bungie's first-person shooter, YouTube user Van Hilst uploaded a virtual tour of his rendition of Destiny's Tower hub.

For the time being, the map isn't entirely finished, and it's based on what was available during the game's beta earlier in July. It includes the main plaza area, as well as all the shops, the hangar and The Traveler, the mysterious giant sphere that hovers close to Earth's last remaining city.

Although not featuring the snazzy visuals and mouth-watering sky boxes of Destiny, seeing this recreated in Minecraft is equally amazing. The builder revealed that it took him three to four days to complete the project.

It's not exactly clear whether the Minecraft user built this while anxiously waiting for Destiny's servers to go live, or whether he was trolling PC users, as his creation was realized on Microsoft's Xbox 360 computer entertainment system.
