Long gone are the days when Christina Aguilera would show up at an awards ceremony wearing nothing else than a belt (which she tried to pass for a skirt) and a scarf as a top.

Also, long gone are the days when she was 'dirrty' and really wanted to distance herself from her rival Britney Spears by dyeing her hair black and dressing in as less clothes as possible.

Today, Christina is all about the glam. She is no longer that woman who wants to shock people by her extravagant style or her videos, preferring instead to amaze them with her demure looks. Of course, we all know that she had breast implants and that many stylists work hard to make her resemble so closely a modern Marilyn Monroe (which made some call her 100 percent artificial) but, by today's standards and in comparison to other female stars, she is one of the hottest entertainers of the moment.

We'll take a sec to look at how she showed up at the NJR music awards, held in Cannes, France a couple of nights ago. Out of all the ladies present, the former teen idol quickly affirmed herself as the true fashion icon that she is. Dressed all in red and with matching red lipstick, she was glamour personified, managing to look sexy and serious at the same time.

I don't know what exactly it is that appeals to the public about Christina (it could be anything from her looking beautiful even without her make-up or with curlers in her hair, to the fact that she, unlike so many other stars out there, knows how to get out of a car without flashing her vagina to the world) but the truth remains that people love her.

And, for those who would still say that she's to be artificial to be called beautiful, I have only one thing to say: you are absolutely right! Yet, despite that, she's still beautiful. Not even that smirk on her face (which she tries to pass of for a smile) could convince me otherwise. This is the glamorous girl in all her splendor.
