Enterprises are yet to find Windows 8’s changes useful for their employees

Microsoft will soon launch the Windows 8.1 update, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that Windows 8 criticism is over.

When it comes to enterprises, there are many reasons why users decided to stay away from Windows 8, but one of them is definitely that Microsoft has failed to come up with something really interesting for this particular sector.

Forrester Research analyst David Johnson told Forbes that Microsoft still needs to improve its strategy in the enterprise field in such a way that would help potential customers understand the real advantages of switching to Windows 8.

“Enterprises just don’t see Windows 8 having value,” Johnson was quoted as saying. “They don’t see the value in the changes in Windows 8.”

One of Microsoft’s problems is also the fact that many enterprises have only recently completed the transition to Windows 7, so moving to another OS doesn’t make much sense, especially when it comes to costs.
