The situation with Jessica Simpson is bleaker and bleaker by the day. First, she couldn't perform one of the classic hits, 'Nine to Five', during a Dolly Parton tribute at the Kennedy Center Honors and now rumor has it that she can't even remember her lines for her latest movie.
Jessica made the crossover from singer to actress in the 'Dukes of Hazard' movie, which got her warm praises from both the public and the critics. That was probably what convinced her that she could really make it into the film industry, so she took up another part, in the romantic comedy 'Employee of the Month'.
Unfortunately, this time things weren't as good as the first one. Basically, the critics blasted her for her poor acting skills and the movie bombed at the box-office. But nothing can stop little brave Jess in her way to fame as a bone fide actress so she took yet another part, in another romantic comedy (please, try to dissimulate your surprise!), opposite Luke Wilson, called 'Blonde Ambition'.
To make a long story shorter, 'Blonde Ambition' is just like 'Legally Blonde', only worse. The plot revolves around a young woman (blonde, obviously) who tried to make it in the male-dominated business world and production for it already began.
Yet there is one obstacle that stands in the way and that would be Jessica's inability to remember her lines. Sources from the set tell the media that the singer is so air-headed and inattentive that certain scenes have to be shot at least (!) 10 times because she can't remember the words.
As a last resort, the producers went for the easiest way out of an embarrassing situation and they hid a microphone in her ear, through which she is being fed the lines she has to say. 'After the seventh take on the shoot, the director hid a microphone in her ear so a crew member could feed her lines. Everyone was embarrassed for her, but she laughed it off, saying, "I'm sorry everyone. I'm sorry."', the source is quoted as saying.
The only person who didn't feel embarrassed for Jessica was her co-star, Luke Wilson who 'patted Jessica on the back and told her it would be OK'. Anyone else wonder how papa Joe felt when he saw that his little golden girl can no longer face the pressure?
