Ikey Doherty decided to stop the development on SolusOS Linux

We are extremely sorry to announce today, October 24, 2013, that the SolusOS Linux project will close its doors and it will no longer be developed by its father, Ikey Doherty.

"It is with a heavy heart that I must announce the closure of SolusOS. Simply put, there is no longer enough manpower to fulfil the vision. What began as a Debian derivative evolved into an independent distribution, without the large development team required to back such an effort," Ikey Doherty said on the announcement.

Despite the sad announcement, Softpedia will still distribute both the stable and the development versions of the SolusOS Linux operating system on its dedicated servers.

I would like to wish all the best to Ikey Doherty, and maybe someone will continue to work on the SolusOS Linux distribution, as it will be a major loss to the Linux community.
