14 DAY TRIAL // Here’s one more theory about what got Solange Knowles so furious that she physically attacked her brother-in-law in an elevator at the MET Gala 2014, while Beyonce looked on: he promised he’d help her with her career and didn’t.
This rumor comes from the Daily Mail, so I would advise taking it with a grain of salt, just in case.
According to an insider, a long time ago, Jay Z promised Solange he would help her with her career but, to the day of the fight, he still hadn’t gotten with her in the studio. She confronted him about it and, apparently, he tried to dismiss her by telling her he didn’t have time for that then.
Now that was a bad call, because Solange flipped and started punching, kicking, and hitting him with her purse, all the while screaming at him, as video from the surveillance camera in the elevator showed. You can see it below, by the way.
“Solange wants a major career like her sister and she’s tired of living in her shadow. Jay Z promised he would help take her to the next level but he never found time to keep his word. Enough was enough for Solange! She flipped out and screamed at Jay Z that if he didn’t want to help, just say so and stop pulling her chain!” says the tipster.
I could be wrong but, throughout the years, Solange has given the impression that she wants anything but a career like her sister’s. Do correct me (in the comments section) if I’m wrong.
