Gresso, a Russian-based company that creates luxury mobile phones, unveiled two of its latest products, Gresso Sol Steel and Gresso Luna Steel, both coming to complete the manufacturer's expensive line-up of handsets.

The new phones are more affordable versions of the previously launched Avantgarde gold-plated devices. Well, "more affordable" is just a way of saying it, because any of the new Gresso phones will cost you about $5500 (3500 Euro). However, unlike many luxury phones that end up looking ugly because their producers dress them with too many expensive materials, these Gresso handsets actually look beautiful.

The single difference between the new phones is that Gresso Sol Steel has keys made out of steel usually used in the aircraft industry, while Gresso Luna Steel's keypad is entirely flat, made by laser cutting. Otherwise, both handsets have the same specifications and the same good looks.

The cases of Gresso Sol Steel and Gresso Luna Steel are made out of 200-years old African blackwood in combination with stainless aircraft steel and titanium. Their TFT displays (64k colors and 240 x 320 pixels) are covered with 24-carat sapphire crystal glass, and the keypads use Roman numerals instead of the common Arabic ones. Therefore, the "1" key is actually "I", the "4" key is "IV" and so on.

Gresso Sol Steel and Gresso Luna Steel both feature a 2 Megapixel camera, tri-band GSM connectivity (with GPRS) and Bluetooth. A cool aspect - on the software side - is that the Gresso phones come with Windows Mobile 6.0, hence offering a smartphone-like user experience to those lucky consumers who have enough money to spend on one (or two) of them.

Gresso Sol Steel and Gresso Luna Steel are available as of today and can currently be bought only from Russia.
