This is one of the rather few occasions when the number of laptop BIOSes can truly rival that of motherboards.

We're also planning to add BIOS for graphic cards in the future, so the users will have even more choices for updating their gear. We've prepared some beta versions for some Gigabyte boards, but have also listed the previous stable versions, so in case things don't run smoothly, you can revert to a working release.

The nicest piece of gear for which we're listing BIOS is the Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E420s, a nifty notebook loaded with all sorts of powerful features for reliable, fast and pleasant computing.

This notebook runs with Intel's 2nd generation SandyBridge CPUs and can accommodate up to 8 GB DDR3, with optional 2 GB AMD Radeon graphics. You can install custom storage solutions from the 320 GBHDDs, through 128 GB SSD or 80GB Hybrid HDD, while the weight starts around 1.85 Kgs.

Today's BIOS picks:

It is highly recommended to always use the most recent BIOS version available. Do not forget to check with our site as often as possible in order to stay updated on the latest BIOS files.

Try to set a system restore point before installing a BIOS or device driver. This will help if you installed a wrong BIOS or driver. Problems can arise when your hardware device is too old or not supported any longer.
