Other NewsOther news:

· The KOffice team announced on November 24th that the final version of their KOffice 2.1 open source office suite was now available for download on mirrors worldwide. The new version brings numerous improvements over the 2.0.0 release and, as usual, some new features, such as the ability to run on the Nokia n900 smartphones (based on Maemo Linux). Read more about it here.

· Steve Kowalik announced on November 24th that the LPIA architecture would no longer be supported, starting with the upcoming Ubuntu 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) operating system. At the moment, support for the LPIA architecture is still available on the Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala) release. Because many users are not interested in this Low-Power Intel Architecture, Canonical decided that it was better for everyone (upstream developers, Ubuntu developers, community members, third-party developers, Canonical support stuff, etc.) to retire it. Read more about it here.

· Mandriva announced on November 26th that a new version of its portable USB Mandriva Flash Drive was available for purchase. The new edition is based on the recently released Mandriva Linux 2010.0 operating system, with the KDE4 flavor. Mandriva Flash 2010 is available on an 8 GB USB flash drive. Read more about it here.
