dots Linux MintOn July 21st, Clement Lefebvre announced the release candidate of Linux Mint 9 Xfce Edition. Besides the new features available across all of the Linux 9 flavours, Linux Mint 9 Xfce RC comes with a few tweaks for Thunar, the default file manager, as well as updated packages specific to the Xfce desktop environment. Linux Mint 9 Xfce RC features everything you can expect from the final version.

There are very few specific features and updates, most apply to all Linux Mint 9 releases. One new feature is the inclusion of "Move to Trash" and "Delete" buttons to the Thunar “Edit” menu. This enables users to manage their files faster and bypass the Trash Can if they are sure they don’t need those files anymore.
