We have 25 licenses to give away for this package, to those coming up with interesting posts in the comments section below this article. There are no strict conditions regarding the comment, but originality and creativity are highly appreciated.
Ashampoo Photo Optimizer 4 sports one click optimization features for your photos, which automatically improves tonal values and applies gamma corrections. Thus, the application eliminates the need for manual adjustment of white balance, color, contrast or brightness.
The list of functions it brings to the table does not resume to automatic optimization but also includes several effects (greyscale, sepia, invert colors, aging), watermarking possibilities and image conversion to a different format.
Backing up the items before any editing is done is automatically carried out, so you don’t have to worry about ruining an image.
Your chances to win one of the 25free codes are only as good as your comment. So make your remarks as honest and witty as possible.
You have a week to post your message, until Friday, so that you can also test the program and form a pertinent opinion of it. Don't forget that we need a valid contact email address.
For a full list of the software featured in our giveaway campaign you can check this article on a weekly basis, keep an eye on the weekly giveaway tag or receive the info by following the Softpedia Giveaway Twitter account.

They will have to provide their full name in private (when required) in order to collect their prize. | Comment #42 by: rover3500 on 22 Nov 2011, 10:06 UTC | reply to this comment | Hi everyone.
First thing I noticed when I installed was that you need to customize install to stop installing Ashampoo toolbar etc. ;I hate toolbars. But at least you get chance to opt - out.The program itself had an 'optimize all' which enables you to auto-optimize all pictures in a folder which seemed to work well. Not too many effects compared to some but all good quality stuff with auto red-eye reduction aswell. My favourite is the ability to split the pic in various ways so you can see the difference between original and modified.Overall great quality optimizations as usual with Ashampoo, good for a quick pic soup-up |
| Comment #43 by: kta563 on 22 Nov 2011, 13:56 UTC | reply to this comment | i have been trying different photo optimizing programs the past few months so i can work from home and try to make a few extra bucks but I have been having a hell of a time trying figure out these darn programs they are not at all aimed towards the newbie. ASHAMPOO Photo Optimizer was so much easier to use. The one click optimization works great! And it also offers other options for editing but not so many that you get all flustered. I would love to win one of the licenses you are offering - Thank you for the chance Softpedia -your the best!
Happy Thanksgiving!

| Comment #51 by: WintoGet on 23 Nov 2011, 15:01 UTC | reply to this comment | Quite a decent alternative for the huge size Adobe Photoshop. Ashampoo Photo Optimizer has all the basic functionality that a Photo editing application should have.
I would be glad to have the full version of this decent software, and thanks for all these decent giveaways. |
| Comment #52 by: azzizmouloud on 23 Nov 2011, 16:25 UTC | reply to this comment | Ashampoo Burning Studio 11 incorporates all the burning/exploiting tools you need to burn data even on Blu-ray discs, as well as those for ripping Audio CDs to several audio formats. The data backup functionality is interesting so that you can store information in a safe archive or even to explore on another pc with Ashampoo.
Ashampoo Burning studio is lighter and easier to use compared to other big names burning software and the interface is well guided so that non expert can find the way in. |

| Comment #59 by: antonytony on 26 Nov 2011, 16:44 UTC | reply to this comment | Many of us have a bad feeling when we look at pictures taken during important events and when we see it we start thinking what would have gone wrong- whether it was the camera or the lighting or shake. One option we have in hand to improve this situation is to edit it manually using a photo editor such as adobe photoshop or corel paint studio. While we may get good effects there lies difficulty in terms of manual optimization and its cost is also very high. Or we can use any of the auto optimizers or softwares specially designed for this purpose. And one of the best and simple which we have in hand is Ashampoo Photo Optimizer.
I dont know why they sell two separate products for photo editing and optimization, probably because many of the users prefer to separate their functionality.
One of the best thing about ashampoos products is that it is simple and can be used by even beginners. And photo optimizer is not an exception to it. It has most of the features necessary for decent optimization of our photos and offers them in a less complicated straight forward interface.
The optimization process can be done both automatically as well as manually. There is one click optimization to make it even simpler. It has all the features including red eye correction, color correction, rotation , mirror image ,and applying effects like sepia, grayscale , color inversion, sharpness adjust etc. There is active preview to look before applying an effect.
It even has safety features like auto-backup of images before optimization and also provides options for watermarking the image.
After we complete our work we have tons of exporting options to facebook, picasa etc or email them. We can also convert the format of images.
We can really save time with photo optimizer as it has batch processing capabilities and also allows to add entire folder. So it is a worthy product for all users who are unwilling to spend too much at the same time getting the best of features.
Thank you softpedia for this giveaway.... |
| Comment #60 by: Grr on 27 Nov 2011, 05:36 UTC | reply to this comment | Hi Softpedia,
thanks for bringing this giveaway of Ashampoo Photo Optimizer.
[tried Ashampoo Photo Optimizer 4.4.0.1 on XP-sp2]
Starting with installation it went pretty smooth, with the signature Ashampoo crap of toolbar, etc.
The interface is pretty clear and has 3 sections: left for location, top for pictures, big bottom to
apply effects on the photo.
I tried to correct a red-eye on a picture, where there was none. It was intelligent enough to identify
that there is no red-eye.
The effects provided include blur, sharpen, median, outline, noise reduction and color effects.
Each of them worked as desired.
Other small things worth mentioning are color correction and watermarks.
The surprise feature for me was Optimize, just select the image, go for Optimization and get
surprised. Awesome results noticed.
It also allows to do Optimize-All, as well as Undo Optimize-All. Moreover there is an undo option
for each of the effects I have mentioned above.
Last but not the least it also has connectivity to Facebook and Picasa, which is cool. So you could
import/export the pics from there.
The only thing I missed is the comparison window, where I could see the image-before &
image-after at the same time.
Before I end, I tried different image formats such as jpg, tif, png and gif. It recognized all EXCEPT
gif format.
I have mixed reaction for Ashampoo Photo Optimizer. The reason being that it is a small portion of
their another product "Ashampoo Photo Commander", which is a bigger package.
It would be nice if I could get a license for Ashampoo Photo Optimizer.
Thanks,
Grr |
