I started using AVG Internet Security a year ago. Its a complete package. It has got a wonderful firewall, identity protection feature, resident shield , link scanner, online shield, spam email scanner and a lot good features. AVG Internet Security 2012 has got a very simple GUI and its really easy to use even a little kid can use it very well. It updates very quickly but if your computer has got a slow processor and less ram and is running a lot of other apps then you might feel that AVG is slow but its not its your pc. I am happy with AVG :) and i recommend to use it.. You will automatically fall in love with it and the last thing if you get a problem with AVG then AVG facebook community is always available just post your problem there and people there will definitely help you.

This software is simply amazing, it's found infections and trojans that not even Norton could find, and removed them. The link scanner has also been a useful tool. I'm a Computer Tech guy and whenever I work on a computer I install this on it, and recommend it highly to all of my friends/family/clients.

I haven't used this program since version 8. Back than AVG was my main choice. I tried AVG Free 9 and I didn't like it that much. It was very heavy on my system, it really slowed down my computer. I heard that 2011 version is much faster and lighter but I never tried it. Guess I could try this one...

one of the best antiviruses available in the market. I am using AVG from the version 6. though the free version has some limitations the trial pr versions are wonderful. very good detection rate, have anti spyware, identity protection, firewall, link scanner together providing a wonderful protection for frequent internet users. low in resource use and easy UI makes it no. 1 antivirus for me.

Hello guys! I've been using AVG Internet Security since 2004 ago. I proved and installed more than 5 Antivirus and its freezed my computer or instructions are hard to understand. The AVG Antivirus is a complete package, it is fast, quickly daily update, it has an awesome detection of threads and tell us instantly in a window about the threads when appear, I love the friendly menu and It has got an excelent firewall, identity protection feature, detect all resident shield, super link scanner, online shields, all daily spam email scanner and a lot amazing features. AVG Internet Security 2012 has got a very simple guide and its very easy to use even children can use it very well, cause its easy to understand. It updates very quickly. I'm going to be honest, I used AVG av about 6 years ago and changed from it because of other promotions that came along at the time. I haven't tried AVG internet security. I hope I win this.

AVG is one of the most popular free and fee antivirus. Its detection rates are not stellar but are very good. The greatest feature i personally like in avg 2012 range is its avg accelerator . It also warns users when a program has a memory leak or consumes more than required memory.
Detecting these issues can be very tough for non geeky users. Avg's user interface is also clean and clear-cut. I also love its firewall which is based on agnitum outpost firewall, which is one of the worlds most renowned firewall. After avg acquired sana and exploit prevention labs it incorporated link scanner into its products. This is one of the best link scanning technologies ever present in any product. It also beat my long time favorite mcafee site-advisor. Hats off avg for such a great product. Avg still needs refining in the performance front though. I have tried avg2012 on a 1gb ram pc, and it was a bit heavy, i hope this is addressed. Their customer support and forums are also very good. I really did not like the pc-optimizer which give spurious and false results. All in all(except pc optimizer :( ] avg is a very good internetsecurity solution. i am using the free version of AVG FREE 2012 i would love to have a free license for the paid avg internet security 2012 version the free version is good but the paid versions are better they have more better features like a firewall better Rootkit Scanner online shield have used avg free 2011 till the free 2012 version came over a month a go in the 2011 version the features got a lot better like faster scan speeds 2012 still has this feature fast scan speeds faster then most paid suits even in the free version of 2012 have tried to win this new version on a few techsites but so far i have not hopefully i can win this avg internet security 2012 version best free or paid security software out there lots of features for free also thank you very much softpedia for a chance to win this great software!!

I am using AVG free version(basic) for almost a year now,but AVG was not my first choice when I got my first computer I always go for the paid antivirus program because I always want my pc to be healthy and virus free,it is like an obsession for me,but still my pc got infected by virus and malware of different forms and I always wonder why, maybe I am careless about using my computer or my av program is not effective,then a friend recommend AVG (basic) free version to me,which I"ve tried and to my surprise this av program really did a good job,ok my pc still catches malware once in a while but from my observation this AVG free version is as effective as the paid version of other antivirus program,so I decided to keep using this program because it saves me money and headaches .Thank you SOFTPEDIA and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY

Does anyone out there knows the full meaning of AVG? Well A=Avast, V=Viper, G=G-Data...;-)...so viruses beware..u have to go through three best antivirus names before u can go through AVG undetected..:-P :-D

Being that this is the ONLY software for anti-virus that I have sworn by for 8 years, I don't understand how bigger bloated giants get away with consuming resources and slowing down a computer, where AVG I never worry about. It's installed, my computer is safe. 8 years running.

AVG was a very good and consistent antivirus/antispyware company and in the days of bloated softwares (pre 2008) it used to provide very good protection. It hit a bit of low during 2009 as their products became problematic and not up to the scratch. Good thing is, they took a leaf out of their competitors' book and rewrote the codes. The result is AVG Internet security 2011 which brought wonderful accolades. I bought myself a copy of the program and being a nerd, I know what a amazing product it is. The 2012 version is out and I'll get it as soon as my subscription runs out.

AVG 2012 internet security is really an amazing antivirus. I am using AVG form 4 years and find it outstanding among other antiviruses. This time, avg Accelerator for youtube video buffering is a nice addon, and it's my favoutite antivirus which detects autorun.inf and folder.exe viruses. In short, it's the versatile antivirus. Its firewall is also more better than before and other features like link scanner, mail scanner etc are amazing. This time, AVG has improved the speed of this antivirus. I was using AVG Free Antivirus for years, and have not yet used any commercial suits. But looking at AVG Internet Security 2012 I should change my mind and go for this one. Even though I cannot afford this, I hope I may get it.

Well ... I am a person who gets confused between AVG & Kaspersky everytime a new version is launched ... I think AVG is far more better in detecting trojans & Scanning speeds. But sadly avg internet Security isnt offered for free like the Antivirus.. Only thing i can do is to switch between the trials & live without an Internet Security for the rest of the year [with caution ,prevention is better than cure :-) ] until a newer version is launched..

Well, i am a person who use to get confused between AVG & Kaspersky every time a new version is launched.But i think AVG is far more better when the scanning speeds & detection rate are considered.But sadly , avg IS is'nt offered for free like the AVG antivirus.So , What i do is switch between the trials and live the rest of the time[in Caution !!] without an internet security , waiting for the release of next version.

I have been a heavy desktop user for the last 6 years. I remember when we still do not have an antivirus i encountered a problem that required a hard disk formatting. A more advance friend recommended to install avg free. Since then I learned how important to have an updated antivirus. My laptop need protection.. AVG protection...

AVG Antivirus is not good. I have used it in the past, and even today, some of my friends use it. It fails to detect a lot of viruses. Internet security? but why? when antivirus can't even detect basic viruses. No doubt, there are lots of free substitutes available for an average home user like me. Even if it is free, I will not take this software.

I tried to use some antinirus but I like avg best. Avg 2012 protects all rivus ..., I have never worried about my inportant files, mail, in my PC and Laptop and when I search information, if I use a USB, I will not choose "scan USB" like other anti. AVG Will scan imidiatery and kill. AVG is NO1!

I used to use Kasper, BAVpro, Avsat, Avria... howerver, AVG is the best. I've used it for 5 years, many people have taken their HDDs to my house if their computers have virus. They said that those virus was strong and no anti could kill them. of course, My AVG anti has killed all. But my licience AVG ant will end in 20 days. I won't help my friends to kill the virus. hi.I started using AVG Internet Security a year ago. Its a complete package. It has got a wonderful firewall, identity protection feature, resident shield , link scanner, online shield, spam email scanner and a lot good features. AVG Internet Security 2012 has got a very simple GUI and its really easy to use even a little kid can use it very well. It updates very quickly but if your computer has got a slow processor and less ram and is running a lot of other apps then you might feel that AVG is slow but its not its your pc. I am happy with AVG :) and i recommend to use it.. You will automatically fall in love with it and the last thing if you get a problem with AVG then AVG facebook community is always available just post your problem there and people there will definitely help you.
