I badly want this software.

I downloaded a demo of this program a few years ago and was quite pleased with it. I never purchased the product because Macrium Reflect works fine but I would love a copy of Acronis because it is the best choice for imaging hard drives.

This is an excellent and very useful program for Windows 7 - very useful for me!

There are many backup or imaging softwares in market. But this is one of the best software among these I think. Everybody should get its taste at least once so that he/she can guess!!!!

What will be most useful to me personally is "Try & Decide" feature as I like trying out new software. I can install and uninstall software without having to worry about the extra bit that slows down the computer, similar deep freeze.

Acronis True Image Home 2011 is a very nice and useful backup and imaging software designed by keeping the average as well as the advanced users in mind. I have been using Acronis True image for years now. I have used since version 1.0 and now I have Acronis True Image Home 10. I can confidently say that this is the best back up program I have ever used. I have tried other commercial programs but this one is the best in terms of speed and backup size. I would really recommend Acronis True Image Home and would love to have the latest version. Thanks for the giveaway.

For some time now, I have used an earlier version of Acronis True Image Home. I have three granddaughters with laptops at home. For each, I purchased cheap 2.5" drives, imaged their existing drives to these and put away for safe keeping. When they crash the system, I can either replace the drive or connect to a desktop with a USB drive interface and restore the image to the crashed laptop.

I handle three desttops in a similar fashion (usually just remove the bad drive and install the image drive).

I love Acronis! It's good software, reasonably priced and easy to use.

File and folder backup is very imprtant, but to make it also effective, one must follow a few guidelines:
First, backup to external HDD. Second, store the backup copies in many places, to avoid the need of dataloss.

Regarding the software, Acronis True Image is a great software (I used it's 2008 version), which saved my day many times during the last few years (Until now, I didn't find any software whom I can compare to True Image).

Backup is important. I've seen people hitting their heads to the walls, because simply, their most valuable and important data has gone away because of harddisk failure or worm/virus infection.

The more important your data, the more often you should make backups. A backup usually takes a couple of minutes, but it can save years of work. Harddisk are not as reliable nowadays than they used to in the late 90's.

I am a regular user of the computer and say that this applet was very attracted to me - it has great potential. Making a backup or a part or the whole disk, eg the operating system is fun and easy. And if
"failure" of the system is enough to copy a disk image, and without any installation again to enjoy it again after not too distant time.
Software installation and configuration takes place without problems. On the plus side may be support for older operating systems. Full version is able to create a special area on the disk image to put such a system and the program also installs itself somewhere outside the system in case of failure
OSA can be run by pressing F11 and still remains to restore the image of the entire system is configured with drivers and soft, which takes a 2-5min instead of an entire piece of lost Saturday and Sunday.

Acronis products ,especially Acronis True Image series are the best ever in the imaging/backup/restore field, a little recipe Acronis invented to restore images on different hardware that solved "HAL" problems, thanks to the Universal Restore feature, I very much love it ,but there is one thing that I dont like which is the fourms support, lacking people who will give the time to deal with customer's questions, I hope this will going to be solved in the near future.

Thanks for this great giveaway. Acronis True Image Home is a very reliable system recovery software. I have ever used. I have downloaded the trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2011 and I am really like it. The User Interface is simple and easy to use. Acronis Startup Recovery Manager is a nice feature as I can recovery or backup my computer at the boot time if my computer's OS failed. So, I do not need to insert Recovery Disk to recover my computer. It is very convenience for me as I do not need to the my Recovery Disk around me. Besides that, Another feature I like is the conversion from Windows Backup to Acronis True Image format and from Acronis True Image to Windows Backup. I have successful o convert my previous backup from Windows System Image to Acronis True Image Format and the file size is almost 50% smaller than the Windows System Image. It save my hard disk space. Furthermore, I can mount the Acronis True Image System Image file (.tib) file as a disk and copy the files I want from there. It is so convenience. In addition, Try and Decide is also another feature I like as I can test some new software in the visualization environment and decide whether I want to keep it or not. If I want to discard it, just restart my computer and it will back to the original state. So, I can test new software without any risk. What I most impressed about Acronis True Image is its recovery speed. Here is my story. If I recovery my computer with the system images shipped with my computer (a.k.a. Factory Image) , it took about 1 hour to recover my computer back to the Factory State. However, Acronis True Image took only 20 minutes to recover my computer. It save my time. Acronis True Image is really a great software and I would definitely very happy if I able to be one of the lucky winner . Once again, Thanks

This software is found on both my machines although the versions I have are a bit long in the tooth, I have never had any problems in using this software though a few others I tried, meant a full install of my system from scratch and the loss of all recent data which cost me time and money. This is a really good bit of kit. *****

I always back up my files. I have been through one hard drive crash and let me tell you, it only takes one hardware failure to make you realize how much you love your pictures, music, etc.

Windows backup is goo, but True Image is better in my opinion. The option to build a bootable disc with True Image on it is very valuable and speeds up the recovery process immensly.

I can't believe you managed to get 100 key for this giveaway. I use True image full version 4 yrs back but now due to my drive I use the free Seagate crippled edition. I can only say I loved the feature of incremental back up, and now I can see it has encryption as well.The try and decide feature is like the goback of old or the time freeze of today from Wondershare. Well, I have known this piece of software for ages, since my first computer years. I then found it installed on the computers in the University pc lab. I, by then, didn't know its value.
Now that I administrate a handful of computers in a really busy environment, I can say it is unbeatable. It is fast, reliable and efficient in terms of compression.
What's more, it has alreade saved me from an MBR trouble I caused playing around in my laptop computer. Thanks Acronis!

I would recommend Acronis True Image Home 2011 as a reliable backup product.

I use Acronis from the 2009 version. In the time of the 2010 version of the program has changed among other things, the program interface. The main advantage of Acronis True Image is a hidden partition called the Acronis Secure Zone.Do permanent copy of this happens, we can plan ahead. After taking the first full backup can be done next differential or incremental copies of that record changes that have occurred since the last full backup. We do not need to install the program to use it. Just using the Acronis boot disc to activate Acronis Startup Recovery, which is run by pressing F11. We have taken a copy of the check are done properly or not have bugs. A copy may not only be done on your computer, but also on an external device such as a USB external drive. Copying is done we can install and review. Acronis makes a copy of either the entire partition as well as individual folders. Due to the capabilities of those mentioned I wanted him to win. Have been using DiscWizard the downgraded ATI ver9 I think. This has been a very good experience with DiscWizard-ATI but as mentioned it is downgraded. There is no file and folder backup/incremental/differential backup which I need and I had to resort to using a freeware from another provider. I see that this package is an all-in-one solution and has been improved now with Windows 7 integration. With the addition of pre-defned backup schemes. While I do not know this new additions this would be a must have app to take care of all your backup/imaging needs.

Have also used Paragon freeware products but the creation of backup/restore is too long plus the backup size is massive. Eats a lot of disc space. With ATI size is smaller and faster both creation/restore. Fastest I had was 15-20minutes for a Windows 7 x32 160gb system drive restore. Creation was around 30minutes max with validation just a mere 4-6minutes. No errors whatsoever in a 2 year use.

With this new improved version of Acronis True Image Home 2011 the user will definitely benefit much much more.

What other and me like this software is the speed in backup while in best compression and very easy to use with its nice GUI that fits to a novice user. It is good to have a file and backup features. Looks an awesome piece of kit to have if your an IT enthusiast and it definitely would help with imaging partitions or whole Hard Disks, Of course acronis put a lot of time and effort into making this software to make sure that it meets the requirements of an advanced IT User and that is exactly what they have done here but not by making it complicated, its so simple even a novice could do it, with the software's explanations.

Acronis True Image Home is a must have software!

Acronis True Image Home 2011 is indeed one of the best backup softwares there is.

I'd like to win one license because I currently don't have any program to make backups. Even though I have never needed to restore my PC I know it's important to be careful because many things can go wrong, a virus or a hardware problem and you can say goodbye to your data and you never know what you have until you lose it.

I have a windows Home Server that I have used for backup. I have tried the trail version of Acronis and it's a much better product and easy to use. Pick me I'll use it with pride.

I think True Image is best disk imaging software for home users. I really like to get this.

A kind of software I really need to backup my stuff. I used to try Norton Ghost, but this seems to be a very great chance to experience another option.

What few people know about Acronis True Image is that the programmers figured out how to embed a flux capacitor inside the program. This makes the act of traveling back in time both near instantaneous and cool!

Oh yeah. And you don't need a 1.21 gigawatt power supply to use the program, so (sadly) there is no Mr. Fusion module required.

I have tried Acronis True Image Home 2011 and found this is a good backup software. It can backup(in real time or schedule) and restore your system easily.

Recovery with the boot CD is very useful if the harddisk is corrupted or your system is not bootable.

Other features like try and decide is a plus which allow user to try other program install which may causing problems.Also restore your backup to dissimiliar hardware is a plus.

Finally, there are other functions which i found useful.This software is a MUST HAVE.

We've used True Image before and found it not only flexible enough for highly targeted backups--for example, your work folder, on a removable drive, on your bowling night--but also easy enough for novices, with clear explanations, plenty of undo opportunities, and a user-friendly interface.

It's the best program that i met, to restore my windows while it is showing signs of fatigue, or when there small problems and although I know that these new versions have appeared over the last 2-3 years that allow you to explore the image of a partition created above a previous version of the program, i still use Acronis True Image Home 7.0 .
But now about the last basic version from 2011 has some new features i see that the option bakup at a time chosen by us or constantly about 5 minutes, this can be done locally habitually back up all on a different partition than the principal, or online . Two other options that i like are: that you can install and start Acronis to restore from a secure area at Botár, even with the password, while the second can install this program on a removable medium. Also useful are two functions, namely the deletion of a partition: Drive Cleanser and the deletion of files or folders: File Shredder. Thanks for this giveaway.

Acronis True Image Home 2011 is supposed to be (one of) the best, according to what people say on French forums(I am French).
I think it is wrong to say that Acronis is so easy-to-use especially for a basic user but fortunately one can find lot of help and explanations on forums because expert users like it and use it.
It has really lot of features and once you know what to do with it, it works fine !

I am a long time user of Acronis and all I can say is that it is the best back up tool available. I tried before Paragon software and every single time I ended up messing my computer. Acronis never failed on me and it is the most reliable tool available on the market that one can use to save him self from hard disk disaster. And this happens all the time. Having incremental backup options is more than assuring but the number one option I will praise is the chance to create a Backup Partition that will really be your life saver.Having a 2009 license and a windows 7 OS I am in for a chance to win my peace of mind with this great giveaway.

With Acronis every other program for backup files simply died. This is another piece of software that falls into the must have toolbox of apps everyone should own. It makes the job of imaging your system incase you ever need to restore it easy for anyone to do. Restoring the image is easy too so if disaster strikes you just need to point to the file and fairly quickly your back up and running, way quicker than having to re-install from scratch especially if you have to also install a service pack after the initial install. If you update the image regularly you'll find any data loss will be minimal since the last backup. This is a first class app that has been very usefull over it's many versions. Highly recommended.

For advanced users backup and recovery software, like Acronis true Image, is a real necessity, especially when trying out different settings/drivers/software or even operating systems (such as Linuxes).
I take 2-3 days to completely set up my OS with all the drivers, software and settings, and having the opportunity to save all that work is worth it's weight in gold and it's helped me out many times.

I have been using Acronis imaging software for years. It has saved my * on more than one occasion by quickly restoring my XP disk with all software and drivers fully intact. I want to try the new version with Plus Pack when I finish my new build which will be dual boot XP and Win&...I want to migrate my XP setup with Plus Pack until I can get Win7 setup like I need.

Very good program for protection against viruses (which are unknown to any antivirus of the world) and badly written programs after which installation problems with the computer begin. She allows to restore data even at ERRORS of FILE SYSTEM and therefore no analogues has. The most important thing in the program - IT SAVES TIME, that for me it is very important (I has got tired of reinstallations of operational system).

I am literally recently became happy owner Lavasoft Ad-Aware on this site. If I will receive the licence I will become the happiest user on light. Viruses keep, I go to you.....))))))

So there I was, whistling a song while waiting for my computer to boot up, and I actually got to the third verse! I usually only got to the first chorus, so I knew something was wrong. I shut the computer down, restarted it without the whistling, and that's when I heard it; the dreaded "click of death". My hard drive, the one with Windows and all my programs, had given up the ghost!

Fortunately, just several months earlier, I had done the same thing, given up the "Ghost", Norton Ghost, that is, with its old and dated DOS-like interface and the need to restart the computer just to use it, not to mention its inability to understand NTFS partitions. Bah!

I had taken advantage of a special offer to get Acronis True Image (at that time version 6) for just 10 bucks as a Ghost user. Best 10 bucks I ever spent (on a computer anyway).
I've been using, and trusting, Acronis True Image ever since. I keep my OS and programs on a separate hard drive from my data, and I have a True Image boot CD and a backup of the partition on which Windows and programs are installed. Thus, in a matter of minutes (literally, like 20 minutes) I'm back up and running with a fully configured install of Windows and all my programs, and the only thing I need to do is run Windows Update and I'm golden.

Backing up is one thing, but a backup strategy is only as good as your ability to restore, and True Image restores as quickly and easily as it backs up. Now, 3-4 times a year, I restore, update and make a new backup, just to keep Windows clean and running smoothly. I've never had another disaster like the dead hard drive, but by backing up files and folders, I'm ready in case it ever happens again. I keep a similar backup for my data, but never had to use it...yet.

Oh, and I don't whistle while my computer boots up anymore!

I currently use the 2010 edition, I heard that the new one is really slow in Windows XP and it failed to recover on computers that the previus versions worked well.
I heard that the 2011 does offer a new feature that would let you boot from a .tib image and allow you to use it as if it's your installed OS for the current session. I apreteate that if your computer is left unbootable you can set it to boot without CD to the Acronis reovery program. Which is pretty handy.

From the last time I checked Acorns has trouble with the startup utility if you have use GRUB instead of MBR, MGR, MDR or whatever it's called. I hope they've fixed it by now this was more than half a year ago. It support EXT4 though.

I am in search of a great Backup Program and hope this will be it (if the stated features of this program proves true). I plan to become a fan of Acronis just as I was of Genie Timeline. Hoping I get a chance to win/use it.

I have been using Macrium Reflect, but would like to try Acronis.

I tried Acronis product few years ago. It was Migrate Easy, when I bought new larger hard drive and wanted to copy exact image from the old disk. It was great choice - Acronis product was easy and did exactly what I wanted. Then I persuaded my boss to buy Acronis True Image Server edition to my work. Since then we upgraded to virtual machines and bought dedicated version of Acronis products.
At home I tested free/open source software like RIP, Clonezilla, Partimage and so on, but in my opinion Acronis products are the best. You can make boot CD from which you can make backup your disk or partition. You can make hidden partition with image of different parttion. There are other features I like in Acronis products.
To sum up, Acronis products are one of the best in the world in it's category.

Hi , i would like to win one license of this masterpiece in its category . As i am an hardcore pc user , i have to evaluate many software of all nature bad / good . Sometime they corrupt my pc beyond repair , so i have to reinstall windows right from the scratch . I tried free cloning softwares like driveimage xml etc but they are too inconvieniant for day to day backup jobs , i tried old versions of acronis true image backup softwares and found them very easy to use . Believe me , they saved me many times in case of computer crashes , virus attacks ,bad setting due to bad softwares keeps on crashing my machine without prior notice ,ATIH reverts it back to working state .It also helps to retain my Giveaway of the day softwares on my pc as incremental backups without fear of losing them. The image of a disk includes operating systems, the application and the driver - saves an image as programs for operation with the drive save an image DVD or disk CD. Now it is possible not to be afraid for the data - let to care of it the given program. It has helped me after virus attack!!
Except recovery of system entirely, Acronis True Image allows to make recovery of separate files and folders, and also to "clone" hard disks for their installation on new (other) computer. And the most interesting to me was possible to instal an image Acronis on the computer with other configuration!!! I am sweetly surprised. In total for 10 minutes operating system reinstallation! It seems impossible, but for me was gained. Only if you wish so to make, I to you recommend to come at first into a safety regime (first time), he will instal some the driver, and then it is possible to use without problems an operating system. =)

Well, True Image a peice of software that kicks all other application. Like Ghost etc. The main thing i like is it's awesome boot options and flexibility. I can store my disk image on My Passport and can restore my Image by booting from same My Passport Drive.

Acronis True Image Home - very good program. I recommend to all to refresh more often. Upgrade adds new possibilities, raises stability of operation and, certainly, adds a support of the new equipment. I very much wish to score the free version.

the "Try & Decide option" should be explained better. the point that 'recovery' is very fast may be mentioned.

Since I have experienced hard drive troubles in the past, I`m very interested in imaging software. I tried the free version of Easeus ToDo Backup, and was not very impressed. Especially the lack of differential and incremental backup strategies was a turn off for me. I haven`t tried Acronis yet, but it is the best known imaging backup solution, so I`m confident that it would suffice my needs.

It is not very hard to say good things about Acronis. It's the benchmark imaging software toward the rest is measured. Few years ago I bought Acronis TI 11 Home without even having an external hard drive, but now, just received a new 3Tb one and was looking for imaging software and, obviously, got to two choices. Acronis and the other! I have heard good reviews about this software on Wilders. To me, the GUI looks nice and user-friendly. And the options are neatly organized. I personally like the virtualization feature. This product is much better than Returnil (IMO).

seems pretty fast in compare with paragon drive backup or at least against it's Linux boot-able version and also it's user interface is much easier to understand. number one in performance and interface. count me in too.

When it comes to system backup, Acronis True Image Home is the software to use. They have been around for sometime now, hence they know what they are doing. As they say, prevention is better than cure; I want a doze of Acronis True Image Home 2011 in my System.

i've been using Acronis for several years. i use Seagate version, as it is free licesed for use with such drives. i found Acronis the best choice between competitors in disk backup/image processing. it have easy understandable but powerful interface, and unbeatable speed and flexibility. sadly Seagate version is a bit restricted one and litle outdated. even that, it saved me a lot of troubles. recently i saw Acronis True Image Home 2011 boot CD in action and it seems to have a lot of new features.

in short: great product, a must have for everyone, who gets data/system backups seriously.

i expect that in the nearest future 'Acronis' will mean what 'Xerox' now mean in copy machines.

Well, I have been using Acronis True Image 10 Personal which was given away in February 2009. The software has been reliable up to now both on my desktop and laptop with Windows XP. This giveaway would be a nice upgrade for my future machine(s), so count me in, please...

It's a great program. At one time I used it and let me down.

Acronis true image backed my system on xp before that it crashed and when i restored windows my system runned fine so my guess is that the virus/problems that were causing those issues were excluded by acronis during the backup.

This is a very good program. Recently tested the trial version. Checks are great. I recommend.

How do you do!
This program remarkable. She allows to restore the information from a hard disk for pair clicks of the mouse. Still it would work under Linux, but images of Linux operating system copies without problems. So if for you the hard disk has broken, and tomorrow it is necessary to unpack the report by which you did very long this program will help you to restore the information!

My opinion about Acronis True Image Home 2011 is the most positive. Backing system image I have never failed. Quite often, I try the effects of various programs, and often I restore the system from an image and so far, the program let me down. Backing and restoring is done quite efficiently and quickly. Compared with other programs of this type of Acronis is one of the best.

NO NEED to add praise to ACRONIS - if it wasn't the best, it wouldn't be chosen as the default backup software by many brand name drive providers. It's user friendly interface, complete system backup management, critical data backup and also nonstop backup are contributing to this.

I have Acronis True Image WD Edition, ATI must have software, I think it is the best backup application and it will be awesome update for me...

I like this comprehensive backup tool because it can run specific commands before or after running the backup job, or email you with status reports as each job is done. Another "PLUS" is that he lets you run your backups at maximum speed, or quietly, in the background and the fact that this program have a detailed control over compression level, CPU priority.
The only "MINUS" is his high price. In conclusion I think that is probably... the best in it's class!

Since original comment is asked, I will be honest.I frequent many tech forums and from what I heard many members didn't have a good experience with this version of Acronis True Image(2011).
They expressed ATI'11 as bloated and also guilty of leving behind ATI drivers which can be difficult cleaning up for normal users.

I really hope all these just rumors and ATI is truly a easy to use and no nuisance well made image backup.

PS I havn't tried it myself but if I win I will definitely try ATI'11 :)

I've used Acronis products in corporate environment before and they've been impressive in terms of features, reliability and performance. At

home, though, I've used Norton Ghost and some of the Paragon products, before being convinced by Macrium Reflect's speed and optimal resource usage. ATIH was referred to as benchmark, but being a paid product would stop me from considering it.

But after reading about this giveaway I started using ATIH 2011. And yes, the accolades are truly deserved. As they say, "You don't get a second chance at making good first impression", and ATIH does just that from the start - it convinces you straight away that it is worthy of its good name.

Speed-wise ATIH performed faster than the quick and light-as-a-feather Macrium Reflect - the partition backup on Normal Priority setting was faster than Macrium Reflect on High Priority, with both applications set to back up only used sectors (and exclude page and hibernation files). The resulting image was also smaller that the respective MR on similar settings.

But it's not only these aspects, which are convincing, it's the way the product has been designed with convenience and ease-of-use in mind, that definitely would win the potential customer.

Standout features for me:
Startup Recovery Manager and Boot Sequence Manager.
Try & Decide - session virtualisation, pretty convenient for anyone installing/trying/testing software.
Acronis Secure Zone - hide and secure backups.
Differential backups.
Security & Privacy tools.
Ability to create images as zip archives, really convenient to be able to retrieve files without relying on ATIH being installed.
Ability to convert ATIH image to Windows Backup and Windows Backup to tib-format.

So, although Macrium Reflect 's star is still shining fairly bright, I know its light is diminishing a bit now, because of Acronis.

I'd be happy if I can get a license, if not - I may have to skip going to a few movies to get ATIH instead ; )

As (bad) luck would have it, a recent update gone wild in one of our Windows 7 PCs let us test Acronis True Image Home 2010 in a "real-world" situation. We quickly selected the appropriate backup file on our dedicated external drive and ran the restoration. A reboot later and the patient was rolled back to its previously healthy state. Although the problem was a simple software conflict, we've used Acronis to recover from devastating system crashes, too. Scheduling was always easy with Acronis True Image, but now it's not only easier but also more flexible. This is a powerful suite of system maintenance tools, not just a backup utility, and the Home 2010 edition sports improvements across the board. We especially like the new selective validation feature, which saves lots of time over the previous all-or-nothing archive validation. The Nonstop Backup addition looks like a potential bacon saver, whereas the One-Click Backup wizard right on the desktop makes backups so easy that it's practically an Excuse Eraser utility.

When you boot True Image Home 2011, you may select any of three options: Backup My Critical Data, Use the Backup Assistant, or Go to the Main Screen. The first option is a one-step, hands-off backup of your system partition and your important data; the second asks you a few more questions, and the last presents you with all of the traditional choices and options True Image has always offered full, incremental, differential, and file-based backups, as well as encryption. The program supports scheduled backups, nonstop backup at 5-minute intervals, and backups to Acronis's Online Backup service. Prices for online storage start at 25GB for $5 per month. Most of the new features are tame, but collectively they make the app easier to use. The most compelling new feature may be nonstop backup of files and folders (formerly the software could back up only entire partitions). Also, USB 3.0 is now supported on the recovery disc. Better integration with Windows 7 lets you replace the operating system's Windows Backup functions with True Image Home 2011's, and access TI via the control panel. The timeline view shows Windows backup and installation events. And the scheduler lets you wake up the system from sleep or hibernation, and adds Log Off and Shutdown options for Windows 7.

For all its power, True Image has always included at least one annoyance. For years I've disliked the program's inability to open images older than two versions back. Acronis has fixed that flaw. But the revised program couldn't back up to one of my thumb drives because It backs up only to NTFS partitions and the flash drive was formatted to FAT32.

Another frustration: The program didn't display an attached NTFS 32GB flash drive as a possible backup location, though I could browse to it and select it manually. Acronis says that it should have a fix for that glitch by the time you read this. Also, if you don't set User Account Control on Windows 7 to its lowest level, you'll have to allow access manually every time you launch the program. Finally, the nonstop backup wouldn't let me choose a flash drive as a destination. The function should be smart enough to permit this and simply warn you (and pause backups) if the drive isn't present.

Acronis is a famous name when it comes to file backup. I would love to win this program.

For File and folder backup, I use Easeus To-do backup, Fbackup or Genie timeline on my computers. They are free softwares and quite sufficient for my needs.

For Drive Imaging, I have been using Macrium Reflect Free version on my computers for many years. But after I bought a Compaq computer, I use Seagate Disc Wizard (a free re-branded version of Acronis for Seagate harddrives).

Acronis is simply the best when it comes to Drive Imaging, perhaps better than Norton Ghost too. Would love to win the latest version :)

I have never used any backup software till today(I am just 19) but when i saw this givaway, i gave it a try. Results were good. In a nutshell backup is neccessary.
So here is my few days experience in which i'll only state few points i noticed:

Acronis- i have heard this name for quite long now, but never knew what the hell do they do/create? . After usng trial for few days i know the answer now. And i rate this as very reliable solution.

Shell integration(acronis tab in files properties in explorer)- this is what i liked the most. It saves lots of time. Sometimes while doing some other job you see a important file in explorer and then you don't remember whether you have its backup or not.At above mentioned feature comes handy.This also allows very easy recovery of file from backup within explorer.

Bootable Disk- I did make a bootable disk of few files but havn't used it yet but. This feature is handy when windoows show problem in booting.

Online backup- ultmate disaster management. one of the most reliable backup solution in era of cloud computing.

User Interference- Was Easy for me althoh i am first time user. Amd must add quite beautiful too.

Lots Of Advanced Options- You have a huge file to backup , just split and the splited backups can be stored in cds or pendrives.

i must say before trying this program i felt backup programs are just resource hogging unnecessary programs but now i know it could have saved me a lot of time and banwidth which i spent redownloading files lost.

Thanks for this great giveaway. ATI home2011 is a great system recovery software that I have ever used. Currently I am using the trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2011 and I really liked it. GUI is excellent and simple and easy to use. Acronis Startup Recovery Manager is a nice feature as I can recovery or backup my computer at the boot time if my computer's OS failed. Another feature I liked is the conversion from Windows Backup to Acronis True Image format and from Acronis True Image to Windows Backup. I have successful o convert my previous backup from Windows System Image to Acronis True Image Format and the file size is almost 50% smaller than the Windows System Image. It save my hard disk space. Furthermore, I can mount the Acronis True Image System Image file (.tib) file as a disk and copy the files I want from there. It is so convenience. In addition, Try and Decide is also another feature I like as I can test some new software in the visualization environment and decide whether I want to keep it or not. If I want to discard it, just restart my computer and it will back to the original state. So, I can test new software without any risk. What I most impressed about Acronis True Image is its recovery speed. Here is my story. If I recovery my computer with the system images shipped with my computer (a.k.a. Factory Image) , it took about 1 hour to recover my computer back to the Factory State. However, Acronis True Image took only 20 minutes to recover my computer. It save my time. Acronis True Image is really a great software and I would definitely very happy if I able to be one of the lucky winner . Once again, Thanks

I've used Acronis software previously and have been very pleased with its performance. I just came across this contest on: May 12, 2011, so I've not had a full week to evaluate this software, however I'm currently evaluating it, and I do like the options and abilities of Acronis True Image Home 2011. I'm a very honest reviewer of software. If there are things that I don't like, I'll share them, as well as the great things, about the software. I'm also open to Beta Testing software, as I've had the privilege to do so, for several software companies, in the past. The software is doing a great job backing up for me, as I've got over 1.9GB of data that is being backed up, and it stating that it will be about 1.5 hours to completion. In my honest opinion, that is a very great and nicely reasonable amount of time to back up that amount of data. I do not impress easily, and that is very impressive. It is very well cope with all types of disks and partitions, works with all configurations.It takes a lot of space on your hard drive but worth it to have. I recommend.

Acronis True Image Home is a very useful software. I have been using the Seagate DiscWizard software, which is a re-branded version of Acronis True Image for many years. Seagate DiscWizard software is very reliable and It save my time to recover my computer to the working state. I do not need to spend times to reinstall the Operating System and reinstall the software and drivers one by one. I have downloaded the Acronis True Image Home 2011 and see whether it able to read / mount my previous backup (which was created using Seagate DiscWizard software) as a drive. Yes, It can read it and mount it as a drive. It is so amazing. I thought it does not support it. i also successfully recover my computer using the backup image within 1o minutes ... It is so fast and reliable. This is proven why Seagate and Western Digital cooperate with Acronis to provide them the re branded version of Acronis True Image.

Of course, compare with Seagate DiskWizard, Acronis True Image Home 2011 is much better in term of its user interface and functionality. The Seagate DiskWizard only have the basic backup and function but Acronis True Image Home 2011 provide more function than that. For example, Try and Decide, Incremental and Differential Backups Method, and conversion of Window Backup to/from Acronis Backup Format. I tried to convert my Windows Backup to Acronis Backup Format and it works. The Acronis Backup Format is smaller than Windows Backup. Besides that, Acronis True Image Home 2011 integrates with Windows 7 very well. I can easily recovery my file using Acronis Recovery found in the Folder/File properties. Furthermore, its Non-stop Backup makes my life easier. I have my latest version of my file as it backup my file all the time. So, I do not need to worry about the losing of my important files.

Compare with other Backup and Recovery Software, Acronis True Image Home 2011 has the better usere interface and more useful function, such as Acronis Startup Recovery Manager, which allows me to recovery my computer at the boot time. It’s ability to convert Acronis Backup Format to / from Windows Backup Format is also another my favourite feature.

I am really hoped that I can get the license to convert my current trial version of Acronis True Image Home 2011 into the Full Version. Thanks for this great giveaway.

Doing backups regularly is extremely important but there are lots of people that don’t care about that.
I have already experienced problems with a damaged disk and lost a big amount of files and programs.
Since then I’ve been using Paragon’s software for making images of my HDD, and at this moment I am thinking to install Sandboxie to try new programs that seem interesting, but I am not totally sure if they meet my expectations, in order to avoid cluttering my computer with unneeded software.
Acronis True image has a very good reputation as backup/image software, and with this feature, “try & decide”, that I believe is unique in this kind of programs, I certainly give it a try and I’m pretty sure that I will not be disappointed.

Acronis True Image can also perform incremental and differential backups for selected files and folders, thereby adding traditional backup functionality to the disk imaging features.

The first thing I would like to mention is that I have no expertise or knowledge on backup or “disk image”. The second thing is that English is not my native language. These 2 are constraints on my capability to express suggestions concerning your site. So, this is a simple opinion from a normal user with very little vocabulary diversity on English.
1. When I used to think about backup, I only thought about file copies. And I was pretty convinced I could do a copy of my files on a usb or a cd, and keep it safe out of my computer. Result: a bag full of diskettes (first), cd’s (second) and usb (latest) with lots of files that I never could find when I wanted/needed.
2. The second problem was that frequently I forgot to do those copies, and when my computer crashed on several occasions (due to my ignorance installing software that I didn’t fully knew), the most important files seemed to be the ones I missed to copy, and the others I got tired to look for in the diskettes/cd’s/usb. Result: I couldn’t have my old computer back, and I had to start all over.
3. The third thing was that in my copies I only had files (documents, pictures, etc.) and nothing more. Result: I lost most of my programs and my computer configuration.
I never had the chance to use Acronis. And I was afraid to install it with no previous experience, and no previous backup done. So, I just went to the site and tried to see what the program was about. To sum up, this is my “change log” after reading about the program:
• I saw that “Acronis Nonstop Backup automatically creates incremental backups every five minutes, allowing users to roll back their system, files, and folders to any point in time”. This seems to me like magic: I don’t have to remember constantly about making copies, and I can go back to the good sunny days after I make some of my usual mistakes, due to my tech ignorance.
• I learned that Acronis can do a “complete system backup and recovery of operating system, applications, settings and personal files”. If this is true, this would solve my third problem.
• And I was amazed seeing that Acronis can “create a secure, controlled temporary workspace on your computer without requiring you to install special virtualization software. You can perform various system operations without worrying that you might damage your operating system, programs or data.” This is really excellent, first because I don’t know nothing at all about “virtualization” and second because I do a lot of mistakes installing software that look pretty nice but often ending with a new windows installation
• And many other “personal major bug fixes” :D

Acronis True Image is probably the best program of its kind. It does what others offer, and does it well, and also has some exclusive features like virtualized environments.
It is without any doubt a must have for everybody who cares about its data.

I like this program very much after I try it for almost a week. The backup speed is very fast with easy option of disk and partition backup which then could be used to restore the whole windows later. To make it even easier, the option of Acronis Secure Zone let me to easily partition the disk for my backup image. Besides, I tried the try& decide function for numerous times so far. It's an easy Operating system-sandbox type protection which requires me to reboot in order to discard every changes. However, it also caused some issues to my Avast antivirus update during my computer ran in try& decide mode. The database continues to show old database number after I restart to discard changes and re-update it. This problem only solved after Avast issued next update.It would also be better if the system clean-up function can give more detailed information on the files to be cleaned. I never try to convert Acronis backup to windows backup hence I couldn't say much on this. However, I believe that this remains a good option for those which to go back for windows backup which is a fair approach. Thank you for introducing a nice and easy interface in this version but I think that the welcome screen is prone to unnecessary since the main interface is clear and simple.

Since I have not used nor tried it yet, what can I say? I know some softwares that supports backups, creating true images of the original system, and then restoring it. Some of it are freewares, mostly trials and sharewares, but here is it, Acronis True Image Home 2011 being offered as giveaway, thats great. Besides, you already said it all in the post above. Two things Acronis True Image Home 2011 may shine above the others probably is the Nonstop Backup and the self-Virtualization feature, though I can not completely understand it at this point, but the ideas it carries with it are enough to standout and probably beat the best there is out there.

Acronis True Image Home 2011 is one of the best backup programs, and I declare I'm pleased with him. With a very friendly interface and easy to use I think it is a program that satisfies everyone. A small defect in the program is to start when Windows is installed and then when your back is not reset and restore da trial programs but that's not a problem (it was only a referral). Your me about this program is that each of us must have it in your own PC.

Hi, I have an older version 2009 of this software. This has saved my computer many times. Most recently, 1 week ago, I kept having a blue screen during the boot process, and could not get into the computer. I tried using the win cds to repair to keep contents, and it kept blue screening. So I booted off the Acronis CD and restored my last backup image, and it worked fine. Only bad thing is I didn't keep my backups current, it was 2 weeks old, so I lost the last 2 weeks of changes, but that was my fault, the software works great.

The question of cloning demands the maximum trust. Acronis always is best inspired this trust!
