With more than 20 years on the market, WinZip is among the veterans when it comes to file compression. It has recently switched to version 17 and, this weekend, we have 20 licenses to give away for the latest version. All you have to do is “concoct” a comment, sprinkle it with a pinch of “awesome” and post it on our review page of the application. There is no limit to the level of coolness you can exude through the lines, so feel free to be as different as you can in order to increase your winning chances. The new WinZip flaunts social features, such as the possibility to archive and share data to social media (Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter). Also on the list is management of files stored in the cloud (supported services are Dropbox, Google Drive and SkyDrive). Additional functionality includes resizing images, applying watermarks on them or converting documents to PDF files. Post your lines on the review page of the application. The comments below this article are not eligible for the giveaway. A valid email address is required for contact in case you’re one of the winners.

| Comment #22 by: Pro on 11 Nov 2012, 07:21 UTC | reply to this comment | WinZip, software that dominated compression world for more than a decade. Offers optimum compression with excellent compression/decompression speed. Even though RAR provides better compression, ZIP being standard to Windows, this application adds more flexibility in creating data archives. |

| Comment #30 by: Robert Goliembiewski on 11 Apr 2013, 00:28 UTC | reply to this comment | increadable awsome tool !!!!!! I don't believe it's been developed by a Dutch person. We from Holland rather keep things compressed. A kinda "closed" mentality. No, we use our famous smoking grass to free our "compressed (enclosed)" stuff... eh minds.... ;-) (Use Windows carefully after trying the dutch method) I highly recomment to use the non-dutch Winzip Pro 17! Keeps your mind fresh aswell. Greetzzzzzzzz | |
