14 DAY TRIAL // It's two o'clock in a glamorous downtown club in Bucharest. The bikini catwalk has just ended and we get a chance to change a few lines with the star of the night, outstanding Siberian beauty? Masha, a.k.a Miss Siberia. In one of the few restricted access areas of the club we sit with her on a couch and mike on. Roll tape:
Softpedia: How does one's life change when becoming a Miss? Miss Siberia: Nothing really changes but there are lots of new obligations because of the crown and that's why I should behave like a queen, because I have this crown and people expect you to act in a certain way. There are also rules you must respect once becoming a Beauty Queen.
Softpedia: Would you mind telling us more about your responsibilities? Your obligations? Miss Siberia: I have to be the face of Siberia and support Russia, take part in different events, be an image of Siberia and Russia.
Softpedia: How do you deal with these responsibilities? Is it always pleasant? Miss Siberia: Not always, because some times I need time to relax and just be myself, an ordinary person with a common life. But once you get used to it it's not that difficult.
Softpedia: In this show you were a lingerie model. Were you a model before becoming Miss Siberia, or is it something that just came with the rest of the Miss status obligations? Miss Siberia: I've been walking on the catwalk as a model for 3 years before becoming Miss Siberia. It wasn't so glamorous; the designers were not so well known and the clothes not so expensive back then.
Softpedia: I guess there are many opportunities and offers for TV commercials, movies?. Miss Siberia: Of course. I became a well-known face and many different requests appeared. Lots of offers from magazines, advertising companies... I was impressed by the amount of contracts I've been offered.
Softpedia: Any movie offers? Miss Siberia: Not yet but I'd really like to play in a movie. For now only magazine covers, ads?well it's enough, it gets you tired.
Softpedia: You are part of this event as the face and body of Russian Standard Vodka. Are you a vodka drinker? Miss Siberia: I don't drink vodka or any kind of alcohol. But vodka is really important for many Russians and especially for Siberians so I am pleased to be the image of a vodka brand. You know, it is made out of the best and healthiest ingredients from Siberia.
Softpedia: How about Masha? How is she in her everyday life? Miss Siberia: When I don't do modeling I try to keep up with the rest of my colleagues from the Railway University of Siberia. I'm in the second year and I didn't want to quit because of the title. I like to ski and when I have the time I read a book or play the piano. When I get some spare time I spend it with my friends in discos or pubs.
Softpedia: How does it feel to walk on a podium in a tiny bikini with everybody watching? Is it pleasant to know that all those man look at you, want you? isn't it a bit frustrating? Miss Siberia: I've been a model for 4 years now so I kinda got used to it. I don't mind, I just walk as I do on any other catwalk. The number of clothes you have on is not such a big difference for any experienced model.
As we thank Masha for her time and leave the restricted are of the club we know Miss Siberia is not one of those people who you just forget after meeting. Because she is refreshing like ice and hot as hell.
