Softpedia Campaign December 2011: Unlimited Giveaway for Backup4All Lite

24-hour window for unlimited download of Backup4All Lite

It can be difficult to pick one backup solution when you have so many choices. To make this task easier, we offer unlimited, free downloads for Softland’s Backup4All Lite. You have a 24-hour window to get your copy, no strings attached.

All you have to do is download the custom installation file from us and register with your details (full name and email) on this page in order to receive the free license.

Backup4All Lite is regularly available for $19.95 (€16.31). The set of features it brings to the table is quite impressive, as it includes a plug-in specially designed to create backup copies from Microsoft Outlook email client.

Also, you can use it to backup open files and set the priority of the process in order to keep a good performance of the PC for other tasks.

As far as backup types are concerned, Backup4All Lite can create mirror-backups with or without compression. The archive format used for the former choice is ZIP (there is support for ZIP64 technology, so you can use it on 64-bit systems).

After the backup job completes, the application tests the integrity of the file using CRC32 algorithm.

The backup destinations supported by this version of Backup4All include external HDD (USB/Firewire), network drives, removable media (USB flash drive, floppy), local hard drives, and ZIP drives.

Restoration process is not too complex, as the app makes available a guiding wizard to help you complete the task successfully. You can restore the backup to a different folder than the original one, as well as extract the items in the backup individually.

Setting the thread priority is also possible in this case, and a restore log is created to keep tabs on the tasks.

Note: The giveaway is available for 24 hours and you have to register with your full name and a valid email in order to receive the free Backup4All license. The license should be applied to the application downloaded from Softpedia.
