I have used East-Tec Eraser on every Windows computer I have owned starting in the early 21st century. During the past 3 years or so I've used a Linux OS, but am now back to Windows. With the economy in shambles, it's more important than ever to protect our investments as well as our privacy. When piece of mind is important, East-Tec Eraser ranks right at the top!

I really like this software : I own an old version of it and would really like to win a licence to this new version.

One thing I would like from the maker of this software is a new user interface which would be a little bit more modern and comprehensible.


Apart from the aesthetic question, this software is really solid for what it is intended for.

If its true that files upon deletion don't get completely deleted but traces remain then I am one who will roll out a red carpet for East-Tec Eraser 2011 cuz it must be a junk fest in my lappy and I need this surgically removed once n for all. Hope you select moi :-)

We leave our digital footpath whenever we use our computer, so it is possible for others to find out what we were doing. When we come to know that the files which we once deleted is recoverable, we dont feel very comfortable.

When we delete a file, it still remains in the disk until it is overwritten. It is recoverable. This also is applicable to bookmarks, history etc of the various browsers. It poses a security risk and hence a powerful program which makes the files not recoverable is needed.

East Tec eraser is one of those. It is useful for clearing browser cache, history, cookies, stored info including passwords which can be stealed using a trojan etc in a secure way using military grade algorithms by rewriting several times.

It supports all browsers including ie, firefox, chrome,opera, safari and offers cleanup solution for each of it. It also erases history of popular programs like messenger, flash player etc.

I have heared about East-Tec Eraser 2011 first time in internet by this site.we have so many track erasing tools like eraser and ccleaner,glary utilities but a sentence is impressed and that is the different one.That is it removes our online activities also.This is the major difference to prefer this software.

I understand how it would feel to loose most important files and in wrong hands. I did never used something like this professional tool, but before last six month when I launched my website and joined webmasters field I am using freeware tools to clean my pen drive making sure my sites backup database and files want fall in all my classmates hands.
It would be horrible to loose all hard earned data and private files in wrong hands. Wish that want happen with me and all.
This East-Tec Eraser does provide enhanced surreality at least better than free one which I use.

The importance of a helping hand to some of us with casual browsing habits could indeed make a difference as I have recently learned. As a 40+ year old college student, I utilize the webs many facets, and a few weeks ago I came across a banner offering free domain space in exchange for creative blog writing on any topic-perfect! I could get my talents out there before I graduate! As I explored the pages of this ad, pictures of the same two people kept appearing, and seemed to JUMP off the screen. I finally took a screen shot- mostly to show my friends who wouldn't believe it. I stared in amazement when the pdf of the screen shot showed only code. - Then I got scared as a message popped up within the pdf stating my document was trying to communicate with somone-somewhere....Then later that day I received an e-mail from the party( untraceable source) mocking me and my privacy. lesson learned? Not really-my natural curiosity flourishes , the East-Tec Eraser could be just the back-up plan of safety needed for those of us with idealistic world-web habits ruled by an insatiable thirst for knowledge.

East Tek Eraser wipes the footprints to the internet andmany activities of the system and helps keeps clean to avoid any nightmare in future.

Personally, from what I have read, this seems like a software worth looking into. I am certainly looking foreward to testing it.
