There aren’t too many alternatives when it comes to stitching up photos into beautiful looking panoramic images. Today we’re offering 20 free licenses for Panorama Maker from ArcSoft, an application specially tailored to create panoramic pictures.
All you have to do in return for a free code to this application is drop a few lines in the comment section below this article. The profile of a winning post includes creativity and originality, so make it as different and unconventional as possible. Priced $79.99 (about €61), ArcSoft Panorama Maker brings to the table several stitch modes, among which the possibility to automatically sew the photos together. Resulting panoramas can be exported to JPEG, TIF, BMP, TGA, MOV, Flash or PTViewer formats. ArcSoft’s Sim3D technology is available in the application so you will be able to transform 2D images into 3D photos. 3D preview solutions such as PageFlip, Line Interleave, Checkerboard, and Anaglyph are supported. Editing tools are present in the program, so you can automatically balance the colors or adjust brightness, exposure and dynamic lighting. Cropping or managing the brightness and contrast levels are also among the editing tools. Images are not the only type of media Panorama Maker can work with, as the developer included support for video files as well (MPG, MPEG, AVI, MOV, MP4, M2TS, MTS). Active promotions are available at this address Note: The winners will be picked from the comments section of this article, and will be contacted in 5 days after the giveaway expires. They will have to provide their full name in private (when required) in order to collect their prize. No other information, except your comment and the alias / nickname you provide, will appear online. We urge you not to double post and, most importantly, be original because pasting from different sources on the Internet will get you kicked from the giveaway campaign.

| Comment #6 by: Bubulina on 28 Dec 2011, 14:41 UTC | reply to this comment | Panoramas are the best way to have my remote family join in the joy of a new baby boy. I use stitching software on my iPhone. My mother hasn't met my two-month old son yet, and pictures and videos are her only window to grandparenting, at least for now. I could definitely use professional software to better her experience, and ultimately, have her know her grandson as well as it can be from afar. |
| Comment #7 by: kelly on 28 Dec 2011, 15:05 UTC | reply to this comment | I would like to win a license so I can create stunning panoramic photos of my city skyline. Thanks. |
| Comment #8 by: cipriansorin on 28 Dec 2011, 15:06 UTC | reply to this comment | Wow,
just saw couple pictures made with some expensive photo camera I would like to have. The panoramic pictures are of a real effect. Surprise, surprise. There is a software that can do this and you will not have to by something expensive in order to achieve really nice effects.
I really feel like a pro artist now with my beautiful landscape newly created. What it really is amazing is that your entire vision about what you can do when hunting for a nice picture is changing. I always felt like my pictures were lacking somehow on the expressiveness side when it was about presenting them to others. The real image was different. I feel like with this tool I might change something in this direction. Really a great giveaway.
Happy Holidays, Softpeia! |

| Comment #17 by: antonytony on 28 Dec 2011, 17:59 UTC | reply to this comment | The first panorama maker that i have seen on a giveaway, and also a product from a company now well known for its media products.. Arcsoft..
Panorama feature is now embedded in digital cameras and smartphones to take photos and stitch them instantly. It is quite a difficult job for the device because of its limited processing power and a program designed to find the continuation of a shot. If we take the photos using our device and use a panorama maker in our pc, the job now becomes easy, fast and more efficient because of better algorithms and processing power.
Arcsoft panorama maker is a unique and a powerful program. It has superior algorithms such that it can even process videos and 3D images. It makes the job even more easier by automatically selecting , matching and organizing it into a panorama.
It has 5 modes which allows us to create 5 views of the panorama- auto, horizontal, 360,tile and vertical
It includes a basic editor as well to fine tune our pictures and shows them in an organised manner. It also offers a print service.
Thanks softpedia.. Very interesting app and company.. |
| Comment #18 by: Amit on 28 Dec 2011, 18:41 UTC | reply to this comment | Hello,
Making panorama images ,sharing with friends and family, getting their compliment makes me feel like a professional photographer,as this is a new concept ,at least to me.I have a big family and often we come together during festive seasons.Last year my brother got married and I missed a chance to take some photos considering panorama,as i was not aware about such tool very much at that time.Everyone cannot buy those expensive cameras with ability to capture panoramic images. This software is very useful as it not only stitches the images but also sweet memories.Hope to win one.
Thank You and good luck to all |
| Comment #19 by: lolipop on 28 Dec 2011, 18:47 UTC | reply to this comment | I would love to be able to stitch my panoramic views together and this looks like the ideal software to do it. It would make my holidays so much realistic and memorable |
| Comment #20 by: Ricam Kongude on 28 Dec 2011, 19:00 UTC | reply to this comment | I really think this is great, having a software like this for free is awesome. I just hope i am one of the lucky winners. |
| Comment #21 by: zeusz4u on 28 Dec 2011, 19:25 UTC | reply to this comment | Taking some great photos, or improving them on your PC by using photo editing software is not really a big deal nowadays, as there are plenty of solutions available to purchase, or even to download for free (just remind GIMP).
But when it comes to editing/creating panoramic images, none of the above can prove really helpful. This is a different story. There are not so many programs outside that deal with panoramic images. I remember that my Panasonic photo camera has a built-in mode for assisting panoramic images, but still the image itself must be composed and created on your PC. I have a very basic app that came with my Panasonic camera, but that's not even close to ArcSoft Panorama Maker, nor the features it includes, and nor the quality of the image it creates.
Panorama Maker has been created with the basic user in mind... you now the geek that uses point-and-shoot cameras, and still wants to have fun with his photos. I find this really easy and effective. I do have a point-and-shoot as well, and I'm using that most of the time because it's so compact, light and the quality is still good, I'm not a professional photo-man after all :).
I must admit the price is a little bit too high - but as of now this is the only panorama software I can think of. Most of us will use this for photos only, but I appreciate the support for the most common video formats as well.
I'm giving it a try, hope to win one of those 20 licenses to have the full version on my PC.
I'd like to thank Softpedia for these giveaways. I'm hoping that next year will bring us even more Giveaways, more up-to-date interesting articles, awesome software reviews and a stable mirror to download all kind of software from.
Please consider offering Game Giveaways as well.
Wish you all a Happy New Year in 2012, and all the best. |

| Comment #36 by: paddy on 29 Dec 2011, 14:18 UTC | reply to this comment | G'Day,
Well i just bought a pano head for my camera/tripod to enable me to capture images for panoramas, honestly you can't beat a wide panorama for landscape and seascapes and to create crazy 360 degree images. The only issue with them is finding a printing outlet that will print them at reasonable costs (unusual paper sizes), however it is becoming more popular so it is becoming easier to source, even though i do my own printing, i do waste some paper due to the format, anyway to the software.
ArcSoft Panorama Maker is a nice solution to joining multiple images into a panoramic masterpiece easily and automatically for both still images and movies.
The ability to stitch in 5 different modes, horizontal, vertical, tiled, 360 degree and automatically only adds to this applications versatility and creates endless oportunities to unleash you artistic creativity.
The inclusion of editing options means that the flow of work is streamlined by being able to create all panoramas from start to finish within the one application.
When you are happy with your final image, joy of joys, there is an option to print to an online printing service that will professionally print the outputted final image (negates my earlier comment about printing panoramas).
Again another really nice offering from ArcSoft and Softpedia that i would love to get a licence for, so please count me in.
Good Luck to All. |

Panorama Maker - create your panoramas the easy way
____________________________________________________________________________________________
With ArcSoft Panorama Maker only three steps are required,
to get a perfect panorama out of your images which is much-admired.
You have not much to decide,
just follow this simple guide:
1 You have your source images to load
and then to select the desired stitch mode.
Here are five different modes provided,
"Auto, Horizontal, 360°, Tile, and Vertical" to get them cited.
2 Sort your images until the order is all right
so that the preview gives you delight.
To stich them finally together you need a simple click,
using its additional editing tools is also a clever trick.
3 The final step is your personal customization
to get it ready for presentation.
You can give your panoramas an exclusive touch,
with Sim3D technology you haven't to do very much.
Movies for input are also supported,
this is in my eyes worth it to be reported.

| Comment #48 by: murat on 04 Jan 2012, 20:26 UTC | reply to this comment | I like some of the programs arcsoftun gidiyor.totalmedia teather, photo studio.panorama maker software is the version I heard, but the last 5 biliyorum.ama denemedim.en teşekkürler.bu people who share the campaign to remove such programs, family photo with a beautiful masterpiece. |
| Comment #49 by: nkj on 14 Jan 2012, 01:35 UTC | reply to this comment | There aren't many alternatives at all, and this might be the best for one reason-flash panos. All other programs charge the same amount for normal JPEG panoramas, exclusively. I don't like this, as a budding photographer, I don't want to spend 20% the value of my(awesome) camera for this kind of software. I want to take photos knowing I can merge them for the best results. Then, the flash capability lets me showcase my work in a way that appeals to many people, not just me. |
| Comment #50 by: Matan129 on 18 Jan 2012, 18:50 UTC | reply to this comment | I had this piece of software some years ago. Its a really good panarama maker. It is extremely easy to use and very fast processing time. Please count me in! | |
