Well, to be very honest, there isn't any tweak on planet earth to make a 'Goat' run as fast as a Cheetah! After trying out several programs for tweaking my internet connection, I felt just like that, as the outcome has not provided any worthy noticeable speed increase. Internet speed booster softwares like TCP Optimizer 'may' have a little impact on increasing browsing speed but unfortunately that doesn't count as long as I actually 'feel' it!

This is the first time I get to know about "cFosSpeed" and from the screenshots, it looks quite promising. Seems to me that finally I have found a program that will be able to optimize my internet connection to the fullest extent. I will definitely give it a probe if I win a license..

Truly speaking I've never used it and neither heard of it even. But sounds nice as it can tune my internet connection for high download and upload speed. I'm one of those fellow who hates when windows update sacks up my whole internet connection and slows down my surfing and downloading over internet. This matters hugely since I use cellular gprs connection in my laptop for net connection. This can prove pretty handy in prioritizing my activity on internet and extracting best out of it.

Tried it, works as promised if you read guide properly. I'm sharing my internet with other computer at home and now I can play games, watch YouTube videos with less waiting times. Have wrote few improvements they need to make and always gotten reply next day in their forums that they will improve stuff in next betas which come quite often. Would be nice to have full version someday.

I'm using a 2mbps hspa usb modem, and as far as I can tell, my browsing and surfing speed has greatly increased as I checked on speedtest.net. Besides, my download speed has also somehow increased from 180kbps to 250kpbs on average. I'm intrigued as I use a wide array of different apps with different data access profiles: online gaming, video/audio streaming (Netflix), video calling, VPN, remote desktop and large downloads. I have given cFosSpeed a test drive before, and it works as advertised. The positive impact on especially slow connections is very noticeable. One interesting feature in my opinion is the smart management of different categories of applications: web browsers, BitTorrent clients, etc, which also configurable. Last but not least, and also what I really like about this software is the real "real-time" graph of the bandwidth usage (download, upload, etc.) with nice animations and effects so that I always know what is going on on the network layer.

Though I've never used cFoSpeed, I have used a ton of other Internet acceleration programs--all completely useless, causing my PC to putter through the web like grandma in her powerchair. I'm looking for a program that will throw my computer's net speed into hyperdrive. Something that will drive my wireless card to the brink of exhaustion, with its lightning fast downloads and blazing web browsing capabilities.

And I think cFoSpeed may be just the thing to do it.

cFoSpeed actually explains how it will speed things up, using words like "prioritizing important data packets". That actually means something to a PC user, unlike those "other guys" who promise the moon, and claim to have some sort of secret formula. Once again, happy birthday to softpedia team. Really, I have heard about this software for the first time. Very recently, I downloaded it and experienced its great features. It is really very nice traffic shaping software. I experienced that my internet connection speed increased after running this software. After installing it, I could see onling videos very nicely without buffering, as if I am watching a video from my pc hard disk. It is a good internet speed optimizer. It is very helpful in improving internet latency and maintaining higher speed rates. It is very helpful in reducing network congestion. I tested it on my VoIP account as well. The sound quality was more clear than before. It supports almost all network connections like DSL, WLAN, CDMA, UMTS, WCDMA, Dial Up Modem, ISDN, Broadband, 2G, 3G, etc. Really, my pc is running more smoother than before. It installed automaically without any drivers required. It detects all the situations and runs with according to that. It has also a built in firewall for protection. And, the best thing about it is, its graphic design. It looks great when curves of different colours run like mountains. But, on the bad side, I would like to tell one thing. During the installation, windows warned in red alert that it is not verified software and recommended not to install this software. I could not understand why actually it happened so. But, anyways I really enjoyed it. And, I would thank softpedia for this great give away.

the thing i like best about softpedia is their categorization of softwares. I have made folders on my PC just as softpedia categorizes them. Ex if i was to download spybot S&D...i would save it do Internet /Popup/Ad/Spyware Blockers, on my pc...that way i easily find softwares whenever i need them.....thats it..:)

I haven't used it before but have heard about it. From someone I know is using it, makes me envy because of his internet speed now. All this to blame on cFosSpeed..lol

I'm one of those people who download a lot. My internet is costly, but I never get the speed as in real speed. Given the feature set of cFosSpeed to do Internet Acceleration, I would be able to browse, download, do updates and use VoIP based phone calls altogether. Currently I could only do 1 activity at a time, and given my laptop specs- Intel core i5 with 4Gb Ram, I know it's not the hardware limitation.

I appreciate if you could count me in for a license to be able to have a smooth internet
experience.

Why oh why haven't I heard of cFosSpeed before? I am a bit of an amateur at traffic shaping. I am a designer that once was a programmer. Being the most technical in a group of designers means tweaking the routers when that cool idea of theirs still is not working and the client is flying in today. "Must be a traffic shaping problem because our service provider said.....". My kids are gamers! Friday night the teen que peaks at 9 or 10 and they all brought their gaming rigs. I never heard of cFosSpeed, but looking at the comments on this page makes me want to try it -- since I'm using a low speed EVDO internet, I'm hoping cFosSpeed can optimize my bandwitdh. Thank you!

I have used cFosSpeed for trial period and I found it’s very effective, where you have bandwidth is your concern. I would not go into technical part of it how it does. I was using GPRS on desktop for internet browsing for quite long period. Everybody must be aware that what the speed you get on GPRS!! cFosSpeed optimize your internet connection and get best possible speed. Moreover what was issue for me frequent disconnection and intermittent connection speed. cFosSpeed helped me not only to keep connection alive but also keep speed uniform and smooth. Now I am using high speed internet & again I tried with cFosSpeed.
Below feature what I found most important in both scenarios ( low speed & High speed)
1) Optimize the internet connection and get best maximum possible speed.
2) Uniform speed all the time & improve browsing speed.

I never use cFosSpeed all time because keep my internet fast during heavy upload, download and improve VoIP speech quality, mobile internet and optimize the traffic.
cFosSpeed automatically is easy to use. If i'm want to use. Or when used for long. I feel that the speed reduction from the beginning. right-click the icon of cFosSpeed. the system tray and select "set to zero". and answer "yes" from the Tab to the cleanup program. cFosSpeed will adjust again. To get the maximum speed and optimize the traffic of ADSL is used. thanks for the giveaway.

Nowadays we have 10,20 and more Mbps internet connection, so it is very useful to limit some protocols and programs, so they won't interfere with others. It mostly appear to torrents, but also to DDL like megaupload. You can limit the speed of MU downloads and because of that -> lower DL speed = MU limit might caught you after downloading 10GB instead of 2GB. But there are many other things like skype, teamspeak. Optimalising them with Cfos might bring very good results. If you divide your internet between few PCs then without settings the limit they might "fight" with each other for bandwidth ;) If some1 has any of the issues mentioned above, then buying Cfos is a must ;)

cfosspeed works with all the connections like DSL/UMTS/CDMA/HSUPA/HSDPA. I use an UTMS connection which has higher ping time because it is wireless. So i have trouble in loading pages , but cfosspeed improved it .

Wow another great giveaway, you guys are working overtime and that is causing me to work overtime to keep up, anyhow to this giveawayof cFosSpeed.
I have tried it out quickly and found that for general use (in my case) there is not a whole lot of difference in speed, although web pages do seem to load a bit quicker, now where this application really excells for me is where i have many processes that automatically schedule in the background various jobs, such as virus updates, email checking, various snmp processes checking on server, router, switch and general network health of remote locations and more, all eating into my bandwidth, which causes rather slow internet browsing and download speeds, so this application really helps with being able to give priority to foreground jobs while still having background processes still running, albeit at a lesser speed/bandwidth and it really works, especially with voip (suprisingly skype, which is very propriatery).
So please count me in for a licence as this software has proven to be a real winner, just like Softpedia.

You may ask: why is cFosSpeed so good at speeding up its users' connection??

Simply because it uses an unique and very indeed effective networking technique called "Traffic Shaping" that in short improves the INTERNET LATENCY of your connection by keeping high transfer rates and low PING times during your web session. In fact, by using this innovative network technique, cFosSpeed is capable of giving priority for some kind of packets matching certain criteria and at the same time delaying unimportant ones.

In such way cFosSpeed avoids that a saturated link may ever cause a significant internet latency rate, due to its high level of contention, both in upstream and downstream. But the greatness of this software is that not only it sorts data packets into different traffic classes, but also it allows users to customize the outgoing and ingoing traffic by adding several filtering rules through the menu option.

It's also worth noticing that by default cFosSpeed does not send out data packets randomly, as it first queue them and then send them out on the web according to their priority.
