Softpedia 10 Year Anniversary: 50 Licenses for avast! Internet Security [Ended]

Great anti-malware protection, safe online shopping, sandboxing

By Ionut Ilascu on October 31st, 2011 09:01 GMT

We’ve reached the end of this month’s daily giveaway campaign, but there is one more product we’d like to reward you with: avast! Internet Security.

As usual, the number of licenses is 50 and the rules to get one remain the same: post a smart comment at the bottom of this article for a chance to win one of the free codes.

Since this is our last day of our daily giveaway campaign, make your lines special. Be creative, witty, jocose and original in order to make your post stand out.

Most avast! users are familiar with the free version of the antivirus, which offers the same protection as far as the engine and the definitions go, but lacks some protection layers.

avast! Internet Security (reviewed here) comes with SafeZone feature, which is a virtualized web browsing environment where you can safely conduct online financial operations. Spam filtering is another feature available in the paid product.

Besides these, avast! Internet Security, regularly available for $49.99 (€42), brings to the table reputation-based protection for search engine results, a silent firewall, which relies on heuristic and behavioral analysis to detect threats, as well as application whitelisting for fast scans.

Note: You have 24 hours to post your comment from the publish time of this article. Your chances to win one of the 50 free codes are only as good as your comment. So make your remarks as honest and witty as possible.

The winners will be picked from the comments section of this article, and will be contacted in 5 days after the giveaway expires. They will have to provide their full name in private (when required) in order to collect their prize. No other information except for your comment and the alias / nickname you provide will appear online.

We urge you not to double post and, most importantly, be original because pasting from different sources on the Internet will get you kicked from the giveaway campaign.
